A lovely place to stay
A beautifully position place to stay, which was convenient for Ambleside. The hosts couldn’t do enough for us and our room was really well appointed. No only was it quiet but breakfasts were fantastic- the view from the breakfast room was amazing.

Lovely stay at Brantholme, friendly welcome at checkin, lovely room, everywhere spotless, owners very helpful , nothing too much trouble, great location with uninterrupted views of countryside but two minutes from front door is the centre of Ambleside, oh - breakfasts are excellent.

Lovely guesthouse in a great location, first guests of the season but was fully set-up. Welcoming hosts and particularly enjoyed the bath and mattress.

Very nice place and hosts
Great place, great location, the hosts were amazing. Lovely freshly made breakfast and well organised, generally. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars, was that we stayed for 3 nights and they didn’t come in our room to change the coffee mugs, and empty the bins. I understand that towels are not changed often due to sustainability reasons, but the mugs should have been washed and the bins should have been emptied. Especially, when they asked us if we need anything and we told them for them, and yet never came. Apart from that they were amazing, great place.

Already did this on first email. Nice guest house in 80s style. Lots of plastic flowers and twee effects. Eco friendly? Not really. No recycling evident. No service of room during stay, very surprised as it was not inexpensive. Hot tub advertised as as ridiculously expensive…

Excellent guest house
Already read reviews on this property before booking and they were all true. Lovely guest house in a quiet area but easy walk to bars and restaurants. The room was lovely with a beautiful view of the fells which we enjoyed on the arm chairs in bay window. Breakfast room is lovely and breakfast was as good as any we've had in hotels like Gleneagles and Old Course St Andrews and the owners couldnt have been more friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend

Absolutely Lovely
The best guest house we have stayed at in the Lake District so far. Can’t fault it. Spotless everywhere. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Comfy beds. Nice white towels & good toiletries. Love the plastic wine glasses which were perfect to use in the garden. Which was excellent. We even tried out the summer house😁. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Parking was easy. Plenty of bars & restaurants close by as well as beautiful walks. We would love to stay again.

The Inn is a wonderful accommodation that is run by wonderful, caring people, Jo and Frank. The hotel is on a quiet street that is very close to a busy street in Ambleside with groceries, bakeries, cafes, etc., and buses to nearby towns. Breakfast is delicious and ample. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. My 98-year-old mother was hospitalized in New York during our stay, and Jo and Frank helped us arrange rush taxi transport to Manchester Airport for an early flight home. They did everything -- they packed up bananas, oranges, and yogurt for our ride; made the taxi reservation for us; etc. In addition, Jo has contacted us in New York to find out how my mother is doing. Branthome is THE VERY BEST!!

A fantastic place to stay in Ambleside
We had a lovely two night stay. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location just a few minutes walk into Ambleside. Fantastic breakfast and off road parking a bonus.
