The reception and breakfast staff were excellent. The cleaning staff are lazy. We arrived to blocked and dirty shower and on the last day they turned up after 4pm to clean our room when we had been out all day. The shower button is broken and our water temperature fluctuates to hot and cold.

This hotel is very convenient for using the train system. It’s literally right next door to the train station and just 1 stop away from Amsterdam Central station. We also used the train to get to other areas in Holland. The staff were great; very friendly, attentive & personable. It was nice to have the continental breakfast if we had time in the mornings. The hotel itself needs some love. The carpet in our room was disgusting. There were stains all over it, I thought maybe it was just our room but we took the stairs and the carpet on the stairs was also gross. You can’t control the thermostat in your room so luckily it was cool at night and we opened our window. The only downside to that is we could hear a lot going on outside. Overall a great stay just know the property is a little worn.

Hôtel provided breakfast which was very busy! Location is great, easy to reach the train station to go to Amsterdam central where all the tours start and action happens. Rooms require maintenance. Carpets are stained, walls have marks. Staff are accommodating and helpful. Very willing to book excursions for you. One negative, there are two people working the desk and there is usually a line up. Overall, the experience was good and Amsterdam was wonderful.

Pros: Wonderful location right next to sloterdijk station. Could not have been more convenient. Breakfast service and offerings were outstanding. The hostess, Karolina, was very welcoming and friendly. Room attendant was generally good each day we stayed. Desk staff were terrific and helpful too. Cons: poor water pressure in the shower. It was very loud in the hallway outside our room and outdoor noise was loud—we were on 4th floor and could hear the people milling about and talking loudly all hours of the day and late and we’ll into the evening. Next time we would ask to be on a different side of the building. The other issue was how gross the carpeting was—looks like people had a water fight with bleach! Pictures below.

Great location!! Steps from the train station and a 5 minute ride to Amsterdam Centraal. Friendly staff and a good breakfast included. Not much in the area, but there are a couple decent restaurant options. It's a great option for anyone not wanting to spend "downtown" money on a hotel.
