I called the front desk to ask for bob feather pillows as my husband is severely allergic to feathers. they told me that all their pillows were foam. my husband almost choked sleeping that night and had to use his asthma inhaler. I checked the pillows again and they were indeed feathers. I bright them to the front desk and had them change the pillows in our room. we stay in this hotel annually as my husband has business in Athens and i was really surprised that they lied to us about the pillows and didn’t take his allergies seriously. . Other than that, it was a great stay. the location, the breakfast, roof top bar and location are all fabulous.

We just loved the art deco and authentic greek furnishings and art. Royal blue Pierre Cardin Paris blankets across the bed and quilted gold velvet headboards. Even the bathroom fixtures are the real thing. We were unable to enjoy the inviting pool but, the rooftop restaurant and bar is perfect for the view and proximity to the Acropolis. We had a tour through Viator at 07:30 which was a 4 minute walk from the hotel. Plaka, Acropolis hill and museum is within a close walk.

We had a nice, big room and large bathroom but there was no shower curtain so lots of water got on the marble floor and we had to use caution not to slip and fall. Also, the lighting for the bathroom sink-vanity was so minimal that we moved the floor lamp in there in order to see to shave and apply make-up.

Overall our hotel stay was okay. The appearance of the hotel when you walk in is great, and the location is very central to downtown. The view from the hotel bar & restaurant is also great. However, both our floor and room had a musty smell that was hard to ignore. The hotel room itself is extremely out of date: the tv was old and didn’t work, the light switches are very very old school and also didn’t work, and there wasn’t any new appliances such as a coffee or espresso machine. The pillows were not very comfortable, and the comforter itself was out of date and itchy. The hotel would be so much better if the rooms were updated. I personally do not think it’s worth the money.
