I loved my stay at 45 times. I have a couple of comments: the trash bin at the bathroom is not very functional. Maybe a larger one could help. It was too small. I loved the mirrors in the bathroom but again not so functional for its purpose. Lighting was great, fridge perfect, the closet very good. the TV was great. Of course my room was noisy as it was facing the plaza but I didn't mind

The location is excellent. The hotel is a neuralgic point in Barcelona. Everybody wants to be in Plaza Cataluña. The views in the roof garden-bar are incredible. The room was clean and modern. The personnel was always nice and kind. We were welcome with a cup of sparkling wine and big green apples!

I had waiters/waitresses passed by my table numerous times and no one ever asked if I wanted something to drink or if everything was satisfactory.. not the best recommendation for that venue, but it was beautiful and everything else is five stars

ALL ROOM LIGHTS TURNED ON AT 4:00am BOTH NIGHTS!!! Both Iberostar and Expedia no help at all. Be warned if you stay at Iberostar Hotels or book with Expedia. We stayed at the Iberostar Selection Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona on Nov 3-4, 2024 We checked into the hotel and were provided a very nice room with a balcony, as we had reserved. The room was small, but very nicely decorated, very clean and quite quiet. It also had a multi-functional lighting system with lots of ceiling, wall, and floor lighting – when they were all on, the room was very bright (more on this later!). The hotel common areas were nice, the staff were great and the included breakfast was very good. We believed that we had made an excellent hotel selection from the Expedia offerings. However, at 0400 in the morning, while we were asleep, ALL OF THE LIGHTS TURNED ON by themselves and woke us up. My first thought was that someone had broken into the room. My wife was frightened. I turned off the lights and we tried to get back to sleep. However, we woke up again at 0600 because the room was too hot. It turned out that, when the lights turned back on, the AC thermostat had reset itself to 18 instead of 15 where I had set it at bedtime. I advised the hotel about the problem and they sent a technician to re-set the electrical panel. He said it should be OK now. However, at 0400 on the second night ALL the lights turned on again! I could not believe it. [more to follow]

Location on Plaza Catalunya was great.Condition of the facility…outdated hotel.Hallways and common areas shows wear and tear.Lobby should be refurbished as the first impression is not great.Overpriced for what you get. Room service food delivered in a cardboard box, and food in glass jars.Room service food rated under 2 stars. No water in the room ,you have to get it from a dispenser in the hall way.This hotel is used by large cruise companies.Would not classify as a 4 star hotel.
