The chap who checked us in believe his name was Oscar was very very rude. Gave us the key to the room and that was it didn’t even tell us the room number just pointed at the pack with it written on. The key system in the hotel is straight from the early 90’s we were there for two nights and had to get it reprogrammed 6 times, something shared by everyone else in the hotel hence with the big queue at the lifts. The room was okay but bedding smelt stale like it had been left sitting in the washing machine. The girls on reception over the night shift were great though. Very apologetic and helpful.

The wait staff in the restaurant was great. Had two dinners and a buffet breakfast. Breakfast was just ok for food. Scrambled eggs were cold and the rest of food was ok. Dinner was very good and the wait staff were great and attentive.

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is a 5 minute walk from a shopping mall, tram, and the metro. The breakfast was amazing and value for money. We found the staff very friendly . We stayed for six nights and also ate in the restaurant for two evenings . There was a good choice to eat from. The location is half an hour in a taxi from the airport which is very handy. When we went out and about to visit the tourists sites the metro was and tram took us everywhere . We purchased a 5 day Hola Barcelona pass online which is great value for money . The pool is excellent after a day visiting tourist spots . Great stay and would stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with great location. Definitely recommend. The first picture on the website is confusing as it’s not the hotel itself but rather nearby tower with an observation deck. The hotel is across the street. The room was spacious and had everything we needed.

Not what I expect from Novotel.
The hotel is very basic with large room and spacious bathroom however, I hate standing in a slippery bath to shower. Wooden floor... I didn't know hotel was dog friendly but no matter... I love dogs. No bottled water or tissues in room and their excuse is they are eco friendly... poor! Dining is poor with too many hamburgers listed and this obviously resulted in poor attendance (MsDonalds across the road!) and also wine by the glass had been opened several days earlier. However, the charming head waiter made up for that and promptly opened two bottles not listed on the menu so as I said, excellent service. Within 25min walk to the basilica which we were unable to view inside... tickets sold out and can only be booked on line! Would I return, probably yes.

Air conditioning did not work in our first room. Despite multiple calls to the front desk and then saying they would send someone up to check it, no one ever showed up. Eventually, as it was time to go to sleep, we called again and they told us that no one was available to come check it and that we would have to switch rooms. so, at 11 PM we switch to a room with air conditioning five floors below where we were initially staying and had to move all of our luggage ourselves. The overall condition of the hotel rooms showed lack of maintenance and upkeep.
