The property was perfectly located for my needs after arriving via train from Germany. It was also very clean, however the room was incredibly stuffy and hot. There was no ability to change or modify the temperature in the room and We could not open the windows so it was pretty uncomfortable even though it wasn’t a particularly hot day. I might opt for an alternative hotel in the summer.

One night stop. There was no air conditioning, no fan, the windows being open wasn’t an option bc of the street noise and light. It was so hot and uncomfortable in our room we hardly slept. However if you were to go in the winter it would be a nice hotel. The location is very close to the train station. It was clean.

Good location but…
Hotel is well located, next to the train station and close to main attractions. Rooms are ok but service was a bit deceptive. We weren’t able to get an early check-in and ended up with 1 large bed instead of 3 as we had requested. This hotel is not ideal for family.

The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The staff are amazing the receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable and recommended a great restaurant very close by. The attendant at the breakfast offered by the hotel was very friendly, helpful and patient. The receptionist also arranged a late checkout which was very nice as we are nearing the end of a long journey and we have a long layover in Basel. Overall a wonderful stay in a comfortable place.

Disappointing
The circulation areas are in very poor condition. Pencil writing graffiti on walls on level two is not acceptable and certainly not for the three/ four star hotel it is advertised as. Had I not arrived late to Basel I would have moved hotel. The half illuminated sign on the roof should have given me a headsup on the condition of some areas as I arrived. Temporary air units were dotted around reception. That said the bathroom was super clean and both receptionists were very helpful and spoke excellent English. Bedroom was clean and had nice beds. There was a safe in the room big enough to take a laptop and there was a free transport pass given on arrival. The biggest positive is the hotel is perfectly located for trams and the train station.

It wasn’t a great stay. We didn’t have hot water the first day, and the ventilation system seemed out of service for the 3 days. We stayed end of March, and room temperature climbed to 27C every night. We kept windows open during the day to cool the room, but it wasn’t possible at night due to the traffic. At these heatwave level temperatures, it was difficult to get babies to sleep. Even though the staff knew about issues, they didn’t offer options or to relocate. Otherwise, the property is clean.
