Nice Hotel in a lovely location.
Nice hotel in a lovely location. Great bar and Indian restaurant (Elephant and Peacock). Good breakfast with best ingredients used. Mattress in my room needs replacing and lumpy but otherwise it was a good one night stay.

The room we were in was lovely; large with a large bathroom with a spacious shower. We didnā€™t use the bath. The decor was very tasteful, but we would have liked a chest/table to put our suitcases on instead of the floor. We are both over 80! The staircase was difficult. We ate in the restaurant (do book) & had a most delicious Indian meal. All the young staff were cheerful & very willing.

Well situated for visiting local attractions like Chatsworth, the staff are all really friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are all large and very well furnished and the Indian food served is fantastic. The only negative is that itā€™s right on the main road (busy A6) so if your room is at the front itā€™s quite noisy when youā€™re trying to sleep. I would re-visit but would request a room at the back as Iā€™m a very light sleeper.

Lovely staff, venue, parking, food/drink and vibe
Lovely welcoming staff and a fresh refit gave the best of both between old and new. The food was lovely too, predominantly Indian based which my wife and I enjoyed immensely. Parking is also very good and had the unexpected surprise of air conditioning in our room. If my wifeā€™s bedside lamp had a bulb, then this would have been a flawless visit. Would certainly choose again.
