Nice hotel and friendly staff

Room was fine , nice pillows and duvet. Ouside areas untidy. Menu was small. Breakfast was top notch. Swimming pool nice addition. For me the rooms and corridors look a little tired. Bathroom spotless but also dated.

Had to leave and move to a new hotel. There was a large Traveller wedding at the hotel that was just intermingled with the facilities for normal guests. The staff did the best job they could but the place was just too raucous and loud to relax into an evening ahead oaf a busy day of meetings the following day. Couldn't speak to reception as they were being intimidated about having a bar tab by some of the wedding guests at the time, so I cut my losses and left. The hotel should consider making guests aware if they have large events on ahead of booking, and should keep events in separate facilities from other guests, as most establishments now do.

Stayed at this hotel numerous times, AVOID room 781 as its next to a generator or other noisy machine which hummed all night and then ramped up at 4:30am. Impossible to sleep through!!! There was also a badly stained bath towel. The bedrooms are tired looking but generally clean hence our return visit, not sure we’ll return again unless we can request a room. Apart from this, everything else was ok for the price.

The staff could benefit from having name tags and possibly a uniform to easily identify them. The room was in my opinion in need of some TLC, it was in places worn out. At night the room was flooded with lights from the car park, which was not the most ideal sleeping condition.

Great spa and nice room, shame about the rest
My room was very nice, spacious, bath. The gym and pool and sauna and steam room were fantastic and the guy who works there really friendly and helpful. However the corridors feel neglected and even smell a bit musty in places. I switched all the lights off on leaving every morning and the chambermaid left some of them on (and one day I wasn’t back till nearly 9pm). Also, I’d driven all the way from Oxford on the Sunday and obviously needed dinner, I ordered via the QR code and got a confirmation. After nearly an hour, I wondered where the food had got to so phoned reception who were surprised because I should have received a message saying my order had been rejected because the kitchen decided to close at 8pm. I asked if it was possible to get the soup and sandwiches that were advertised on a card as available 24 hours and was told no…. I ended up using Just Eat but I thought this was really poor service.
