Rooms feel a little like you are on a high tech cruise ship. Tight fit but well designed. Using the iPad to control lighting moods was a nice touch, but sometimes difficult to figure out how to switch things back to the original settings. On the day we checked out the internet was down and therefore you could not use the iPad to control anything.

First I want to point put that Jay, an amazing lady who works at CanteenM, constantly went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay exceptional. She was friendly ad made sure our expectations were exceeded. Thank you personally to her for everything. The rest of the staff was friendly and happy to help. Check in and put was quick and easy, security measures really pleased us. Overall i would recommend you to friends and family without any hesitation. I know you are a new establishment in the back bay lication and I wish you all the success possible.

First… the positive. Everything about the place was clean, decorated (albeit a bit quirky), and new. After self-check in at a kiosk, we went up to our room. The room was only as wide as the length of the king-sized bed and everything felt kind of on top of each other. The room is controlled from an iPad in the room- the temperature, the TV, the lighting (even the color of the lights) - all of which was fairly simple to figure out. The shower was decent and the towels were large and soft. It was also quiet andI never heard other travelers. The negative? It tied into the size of the room. Being only as wide as the bed, the bed was naturally placed up against the end of the room. This means there is only one available side of the bed to get in or out of. For older folks that need a middle of the night bathroom break, this can be very annoying as the “inside” person can’t get out of bed without getting the other to move. And although the bed was very comfortable, rolling or crawling to the far side of the bed was not much fun. This hotel would be fine for younger people but I feel it is not a very good match for more mature adults.

The room alarm clock did not alert, and I ended up late for work. The hotel staff said they are now aware of the issue and seeking resolution. — other than that it was a top-tier citizenM experience.
