Most of the bad reviews complain about how noisey it is, it actually did bother me at all. I didn’t like how abnormally small the room was but was cool they were able to squeeze literally everything u need (fridge included in there). My biggest upset was that on Expedia it clearly gives u a “pay at property” option and I emailed right after booking to ask about different payment methods at the property. My email was completely ignored and the payment in full was charged to my card a month in advance. The communication while staying at the property was always prompt and clear. Everything is walkable and a great location. I stayed a week, u can ask for fresh towels and linen but having ur room cleaned cost quite a lot given size of room. I would stay again but I’d definitely spend a little extra and book their bigger suites as it’s still cheaper than most other places in the area
My stay at the Bay Village Hotel in Boston was amazing. To be honest, it was my first experience staying in a self-serving hotel like this. However, everything was good. No one disturbed me, and every time, the hotel was quiet like I was alone in the entire building, and it was convenient.
Prime location. Okay cleanliness (rooms cleaner than shared restrooms). Easy check in and check out process.

Do not stay here
I have never booked somewhere and regretted it the second I checked in as much as I did with this property. I knew it would be shared bathroom before booking it and for the price, I expected low. However when I turned up and checked in, I realised that the top floor where my room was had a tiny toilet in a cupboard with no light and no sink. The main bathroom (which looked nothing like the photos) was on the floor below and shared with what I could see was eight rooms. Unsurprisingly, this bathroom was always engaged - so you could go to the toilet but had to wait to wash your hands. Bedroom was very basic. I reluctantly spent the first night here but after waking up in early hours with bites on my arms and legs from god only knows what, I found alternative accommodation. It is described as a hotel but it’s a multiple occupancy property and forms part of the social housing in the area so hardly a hotel.

My room had some minor issues, such as a loose electrical outlet and peeling wallpaper, but overall, it is a convenient and affordable option with great communication vis-a-vis check-in procedures, etc.
I don’t usually leave reviews but felt like I should for this property. It’s about what I expected for the price paid. Didn’t see any mice or bugs like others and the place is fine if you’re one or two people staying for a few nights but a major issue is the freeway adjacent to the building. It’s crazy how loud and how many cars drive by even at 2 or 3 in the morning. It would have been impossible to sleep had it not been for my noise canceling headphones. I didn’t believe other reviews on how loud the freeway was but there’s nonstop honking and motorcycles at all hours of the night. Location is good and easy to find and it was what I needed for a solo short visit but just be warned if you’re a light sleeper. Pack something to cancel the noise because you’ll need it.

Not great but close to centre
Wow, the stairs. I was on the top floor, trying to get luggage up the stairs is very difficult as not only are the stairs very steep but narrow and the building is at a distinct tilt to the side. Room was very basic, nothing like the photos. Everything looked as if it was about to break. The main shared bathroom was not a problem, was very clean, but the little toilet on my floor had no sink in it, so on the top floor there was nowhere to wash your hands. Area wasn’t the greatest either. There is no staff on site for most of the time and front door and room are push button codes. However, it was really close to the centre.
It is a hostel - so you have your own room and share a bathroom. I personally didn't have any issues with this - there are multiple bathrooms throughout the building. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. It had all the necessities - fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, paper towels, extra toilet paper, towels. Small room - but again, has all the necessities - perfect for a short quick week-long trip.
Old unclean small cubicle. The TV did not work. The shared bathroom door was broken. Looked like they tried their best to keep the bathrooms clean but the bathrooms need a renovation because they looked very unclean no matter how much you cleaned them. Guess that is what you get for a cheap hotel room but for that amount a night (and booked weeks jn advance!) the services were far below the expectations. If you can afford a little better I would recommend somewhere else. I read some of the reviews but was expecting may be it wouldn’t be that bad but I stand corrected. The reviews don’t lie!!

Great price if you aren't staying in the room much
Check in and check out were really easy. The room and bathroom were very clean. The location was right near a train station and close to good restaurants and bars. However, the property was right next to a highway so there was traffic noise 24/7. The room had a loud air condition unit that was right next to the bed which made sleeping difficult. Had to have the air on cause you couldn't open the windows cause of the traffic noise.
Cheap place- and you get what u pay for. I stayed at the top floor - 4 rooms which shared the tiniest bathroom - so small toilet tank had to be elevated and no sink…. Stairs crooked and v v v creaky.
They must have multiple buildings - as the address I booked was 1 mile away from where I stayed….
