Lovely old building. Nice spacious room with comfy bed. Food was reasonably priced but afternoon tea and drinks were over priced.

This hotel is great, worth the upgrade to stay in the old hall, buffet breakfast was the best, don’t usually do self service breakfast but this was so fresh Staff were amazing which makes so much of a difference

Absolutely lovely.
Beautiful building. We had a modern double booked but they offered us an upgrade to a king in the main hall. The room was incredibly spacious, a gorgeous bathroom with a deep tub, and a complimentary drinks fridge (yes, it included beer & wine!). Even tho the bed was a bit dated (2 twins pushed together as a king & a strangely lumpy mattress pad that has no business still being utilised), both my husband and I slept like logs. It’s a very quiet part of the Hall so neighbours aren’t an issue. The bathroom is incredible (it does need some ventilation), a separate double sized shower, Victorian tiling, vaulted ceiling with stained glass windows in the ceiling above a full length tub. It took a while for the room to warm up but that’s only because it was late May and a cold front had dropped temps down to March temps and I think the boilers for that wing had been turned off for the season. We notified the front desk and by the time we were back after the spa and dinner they were ticking on. The spa facilities perfect for some relaxing. Dry sauna, steam, ice sink, jacuzzi & pool. It has a chapel for meditation and prayer that was built in the 1600s. I found the evening visiting more serene bc they had flood lights on in the morning. Husband and I are going to make this a monthly mental health reset stay.

Perfectly fine stay with super friendly staff.
Staff were fabulous. Reception staff and restaurant staff in particular. My burger in the restaurant was really tasty. Our room was clean and tidy. Bed could have been a smidge comfier but all in all, it was a fair price for a hotel rated as it is.
Rear view. You can do a circular walk around the property and grounds. Takes 15 minutes.

beautiful setting, needs attention to detail
most talent was amazing, warm welcoming and courteous, let down only by the bar crew in the afternoon, slow service, no cutlery bought with the meal and one of the associates constantly coughing over all the glasses as he carried them from the bar to the Brasserie, the maintenance crew were amazing and polite, many broken tiles in the glass walkway and silicon grout looking messy around the bar windows. room was great but no air conditioning on this hot day room did not get down to 17 degrees as set, the girl in reception was amazing and the breakfast crew were great, however there were wet and dirty plates in the stack and the fried eggs were over cooked,

Nice stay overall
Hotel was nice and so where rooms air con is room made a loud buzzing noise when on, service at bar was abit slow and breakfast was nice apart from no bread to make toast no orange juice left ask for more and nobody restocked, coffee machine always a que has one had no coffee in it so gave up in end. Would stay again but think when busy cant cope
