Very clean. Extra security when using the elevator, keycard necessary to choose your floor. The Sandman Inn also has senior discounts for your stay. The attached Dennys restaurant is also convenient.

Dissapointed Bathroom door was difficult to close and open, like cardboard. Outlets for plug in at night table was lose and dangerous. Ac unit had snapped off knobs that we couldnt use. Provided massive industrial fan without knobs to adjust it. Front desk made excuses for poor ac units and that it was a heat wave when ac units shouldnt be blowing warm air at all. Paid for king bed but bed was clearly a queen. Ive stayed here twice in the last three years and will not stay again. Very dissapointed for cost. Only helful and friendly person was maintanance Chris.

The Jasper fire forced us to cancel our reservation. Sandman Hotels & Suites Calgary West would not allow us to cancel our reservation without forfeiting nearly $200.00. I suspect that in mid summer, they were able to rebook the room and therefore would not have lost any money by offering us a refund due to circumstances beyond our control.

Room was clean and comfortable. We found the size of the pillows too much. We met another guest who brought her own, so it must be an issue. Also pool ran out of towels a couple of days. Despite these it was a very enjoyable stay.

I had booked a room months in advance for my friend’s wedding. Lost my credit card the week of the wedding so I didn’t have a new one in time. First, they wouldn’t let me stay, then said they would waive the cancellation fee and charged it anyways. The first lady I talked to at the front desk was trying to find a way to get me into my room with alternative payment methods. She was nice and trying to help. Then her manager came out and she was rude and obnoxious, telling me my ID didn’t look like me, raising her voice stating how I wasn’t going to be staying in their hotel multiple times. I’m very disappointed in this hotel. Probably will boycott Sandman hotels altogether. I slept in the passenger seat of my car that night instead. You want a good hotel to stay in, look elsewhere.
