The location convenience was truly the only positive. No extra pillows, no water in room, mould in bathroom ceiling, curtains were half coming off, thats just our room. Staff were not properly attired to greet staff eg casual jeans and joggers. 2 staff members in the buffet breakfast were on their phones and too busy to attend to their jobs. Bowl of rubbish was left from the day befores breakfast near the coffee machine. The scrammbled eggs were stone cold, when i asked for a food therometer to check temp it was refused as they didnt have one. I asked for poached eggs instead and it was refused by the staff who was taking my money. My list of complaints about the breakfast experience was endless. I also complained about our complimentary drink, being accor members was not offered, but not only that, the happy hour was 4 to 6pm and it clearly advertised it on a board and on the bar., stating days and times. When i asked to be served i was informed very rudely by front desk staff that they dont have this on sundays. Well it clearly was on display, Will i recommend this particular Ibis styles to anyone... absolutely NOT. I would have been better sleeping in my car and eating takeaway. Disgusted

The room was very comfortable, clean. Only a small defect, window curtains were too long and had about 8inches dragging on the floor and at the top were torn. Just a little thing that brings the overall quality of the room down

The bathroom shower floor was a very slippery mess. The door cannot be opened with a mat put down, but without the water pours onto the floor making in very slippery. The bathroom roof had signs of mould, however, all else about the room was basic and reflected the price and facilities well. I would stay again.

For a one night stay and value for money, the property was fine. The rooms are tired though, and ours was missing a black out curtain so the street light streamed through. 2 of the single beds were missing a sheet. There was also a lot of water hammer from the pipes throughout the night when neighbouring guests used their bathrooms.

Property and facilities are great but had issues with finding parking on two of the 3 nights we were there as there are definitely not enough parking when the hotel is full and with no allocated parking its first in best dressed.

Pros : - Friendly Staff - Quiet area - Easy to find - Pool - Lower cost - Does what it needs to do ; provide a safe warm place to sleep. Cons: - Room had many faults eg broken light fixing , tv remote, screws in tiles sticking out where things previously removed etc - Hard beds - Dirty cups provided in room and bowls/ cutlery in bistro area also dirty - No turn down service for less than 3 day stay.

I had a comfortable, large room with a renovated bathroom which has good, fixed bottle toiletries However, furniture is shabby and old. There was no microwave nor any cutlery to stir sugar in your coffee. The hotel is in a quiet area. Parking is free !

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in terms of the room facilities. TV, room phone and bedside light didn't work and the door return had been removed entirely. This place is in serious need of some money being spent on maintenance. The Ibis Group should be ashamed of it. The staff were excellent considering the environment in which they have to work.

We travel to Canberra frequently and Ibis is one of the top properties we enjoy staying at. It is convenient and local and all staff are lovely and helpful. Great for families.

This place has declined so much in such a short time. It was dirty, smelly and needs lots of maintenance. The pool, pancake maker, vending machines and tvs were out of order. The staff have scripts to explain these to patrons because they are having to say it so frequently. Staff were lovely and patient but surely their turnover rate must be high working in such awful conditions. There were ant infestations within the room. The showers swap between scalding hot and freezing with no warning. We were not given enough towels for the amount of people staying and had to request a blanket and sheets for the bunk as WHS prevents cleaners making their bunks. Spare blankets in the room were filthy and stained. While we stayed, a car parked in the apparently secure carpark had its wheel removed and left on a jack. The breakfast was lacklustre, cereal not restocked across multiple days. The teacups absolutely filthy and stained with physical particles caked onto them. The scrambled eggs pale and crumbly. The pool looks lovely, however was out of operation our entire stay and we were advised to try the Manuka public pool. This place is not cheap enough to be so bad. I hate to leave such negative reviews but I want to save other travellers the cost.
