The night manager was amazingly friendly which is so nice as we visit hotels in bournmouth every fortnight for the last 3 years. We will now only stay at this hotel from now on. He made us feel so welcome when we arrived

Probably the best of the ‘chain’ accommodation I’ve stayed at. Good rooms, great shower, and excellent facilities. Just don’t do late breakfast as they tend not to top up the food , so I literally had scraps at 9.40am.

Very disappointed with the room and cleaning standards. We booked club room with KING bed. On arrival we were checked in and on arrival in the allocated room we were disappointed with what we found. Bed is not a king bed but at most queen size. The tea and coffee making facility was full of dust and kettle dirty. All walls had scratches. Bathroom was very dirty showers tray had some dirty bits. Most shocking was the wall under the think and behind the toilet. The door was open and sun was shining on and you could see all the dirty marks and I will leave it to your imagination. We asked to be moved to twin room and they moved as to standard twin room which was a bit better but because of the dark decor you can see all scratches. Then on top off everything in the gym after swimming used the drying machine in the changing rooms and it burned the brand new swimming costume. That £50 in the bin. We are regular guest at the village hotels but this was the worst we had stayed at. So no return for us.

When first arrived, was put in a room, that someone had been smoking in, so saw reception and they changed it straight away. one night the lift broke, so asked if I could use the Service Lift, which I did, as I had 2 large heavy bags to carry up to Floor 4, Very Helpful Staff, thanks

I was staying at the Village because my dad was in the Royal Bournemouth hospital across the road. Last year I stayed in a village hotel in Farnborough and vowed never to stay in a “Village” hotel again, the experience was awful. Imagine my disappointment when I turned up in Bournemouth to find I’d booked a hotel in the same group. HOWEVER….. This hotel could not have been more different. The cleanliness, the helpful staff, facilities and the rooms were fab. And I was very happy with the price. The staff should get a special mention because they bent over backwards, nothing was too much trouble. I managed to pour scolding hot tea over my ribs. I went down to reception where the young woman on the desk went into Florence Nightingale mode and helped me out with a pretty nasty burn. 10/10 for me. Thank you Village Hotel Bournemouth.
