Room was spacious and well decorated, hotel location was convenient, lobby was nice. However upon check in, we were met with a very rude staff member who mocked us, watched TV on his phone instead of tending to customers, and spoke very rudely throughout our interactions. We also saw him behave rudely to other customers and act in an angry and unprofessional manner for multiple days. Definitely surprising considering the restaurant staff, housekeepers, and late night/early morning front desk staff were very kind.

Upon check in we were told that the carpets were being cleaned so our room may have damp carpet all throughout (which they did). About a day later we were told late in the day that the water pipes had burst earlier that day and they had no idea when it would be fixed. It was 6pm when they told us and I had to look for another hotel and move my family (2 young kids and my elderly parents) to another place. when I tried to get a refund for the rest of my trip, the front desk told me to contact Expedia - they could not refund me at the Hyatt. They were quite short with me as if it was a huge inconvenience for them to be dealing with my issue!!

I am currently a guest 11/10/2024 at the Doubletree Hotel at 6300 Carnegie Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28211 and found myself with mixed feelings. Aesthetically, this hotel is absolutely beautiful, with elegant decor that makes you feel like you've arrived somewhere special. However, my actual experience staying here was far from restful. At nearly $500 for a one-night stay in a two-bedroom suite, I had high hopes for a peaceful, comfortable evening. Unfortunately, that wasnā€™t the case. The building, though charming, is older and has settled over time, which has led to some structural issues. I could hear every step taken by the guests above me, and they happened to be up all night, pacing around. If youā€™re a light sleeper or value quiet, this can be quite unsettling. I also encountered issues with the doors in our suite. The bathroom door, for instance, would stick, making it difficult for my daughter to open it after using the restroom. Meanwhile, it wouldnā€™t close properly at other times. I contacted the front desk, and the attendant kindly offered to investigate, though I felt the problem was more foundational, likely due to the buildingā€™s age. This hotel might be perfect if youā€™re planning to be out late, enjoying the nightlife and only need a place to crash for a few hours. But if a restful nightā€™s sleep is what youā€™re after, you may want to consider other options. I understand my experience may not reflect everyoneā€™s stay, but it was signif

The property is older but well maintained. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities of home which I enjoyed. The only thing that was a little discouraging is some of the staff. The guy at the front desk was great. The way he welcomed me made me feel comfortable and excited to be there. However housekeeping on our check out day was extremely rude. Long story short we reserved another Hilton property but they were overbooked so they were able to switch us to this property which was suppose to have all the same amenities as the first. Little did we know that the checkout was at 11 am instead of 12 like the first property. The housekeeper came to the room to clean I explained what had happened and she told me that it wasnā€™t her issue which technically it wasnā€™t but it was her company that screwed up the reservation. It was just a very unnecessary encounter that I wished didnā€™t happen because Iā€™m a huge fan of all Hilton properties but, her attitude left a bad taste in my mouth.

Nice Hotel
Nice hotel in a great non congested area of Charlotte. Check in recommended excellent restaurant nearby. For a 1 night stay i have no complaints. Would definitely stay again whrn in town.
