Absolutely loved our stay! We had a 4-day vacation in Chicago and did a lot of exploring. This hotel was in the heart of downtown, making it very conveniently near all of the popular sites (Navy Pier, the Mile, The Bean, and popular restaurants and night life). Everything nearby was walkable, but the hotel itself also offered amazing dining. The rooftop bar, especially around Christmas time, is a cute place for a photo op, good drinks, and a good view. Everything about the hotel is luxurious. Staff was very friendly as well. Definitely will stay here if we return for another vacation.

Horrible service. Starting with a lobby and continuing to the bar area were available servers ignore customers at the table, saying “I thought someone is helping you” passing by multiple times and actually seeing that no one was helping us. Room wasn’t properly cleaned, even though we checked in after 8pm. There was a garbage from previous people and dirty glass and mirrors. No hot water available at the hotel after midnight is ridiculous. Jacks from the bar saved the situation with the most friendly attitude and service. Staying at this hotel since 2018, this time it was the worst experience.

The property description when booking said Free breakfast. But when we went there it was a credit of 20$ per person per day. Kids not included in the deal. As far as I am concerned, Free Breakfast means Free, cannot have a limit or credit of something. If thats the case then it should have mentioned clearly in their terms. Also the agent at check-in didnt smile, not friendly at all. We felt as if we were not welcomed to Stay at the property. I didnt like it at all. Although I like the property, will rethink whether to stay there in future.

The reception Neil was wonderful to allow us check-in earlier and upgraded our stay facing the riverview. It was supetb stay and we all love the views.

The hotel is located in downtown Chicago on a main street surrounded by homeless people and violence. As a local, I could not believe the hotel lacked security, meaning anyone off the street could access the guest floors and rooms. This poses not only a safety threat to tourists traveling from other countries and within the states unaware of the violence and shootings in Chicago but also a severe potential liability for the hotel and Sheridan. The service upon arrival is horrific. No one is avaliable to help you with bags, and as a solo traveler, staying at the property for 11 days is disappointing and a hassle. The room I booked on the app stated the room was 314 sq feet. When I questioned the room size, I was told that it was hotels.com responsibility. The room has no refrigerator, making it impossible to keep anything cold, especially given the need to purchase beverages (water, soda, snacks) due to the hotel’s limited room service hours. The hotel is understaffed, and no one answers the phone to address issues. When I arrived, only one staff member was available to check in guests and answer the phone. The result was a 35-minute wait dealing with a rude, ignorant, unaccommodating staff member. For the price, there are far better options in the city.

This hotel is the absolute best location for walking and hotel views. A quiet hotel, but given its proximity to a major street, you’ll hear honking throughout the night. The property is meticulously maintained. Our king guest room was pristine and showed no signs of wear and tear. Bonus- there are 6 food establishments that are accessible from inside the hotel. Ocean Prime offers incredible food and service!

All in all my stay experience is great, just ever last night I found my pillow sheets has bug eggs on it, didn’t bother to tell them just didn’t use the pillow. But staffs were very nice and friendly great location.
