This is a fabulous hotel in the perfect location. Great rooftop bar with beautiful view and good food. Comfortable rooms with all our needs met. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Great proximity to the riverfront, parks, the beach /Navy Pier, and lots of great shopping.

Property, location and the front door staff were absolutely outstanding. We went to our room with excitement as this was our first visit to Chicago. We came from Toronto, ON ready to watch the Jays vs Cubs series. When we finally arrived to our room after a 2:30am alarm wake up call at home (long day) i immediately laid on the bed which was XL KING and spectacular! I had a brief 30 min nap when I woke up and climbed out of bed I realized there was dried old blood on the sheets and pillowcase where I laid my head in exhaustion. I immediately called the front desk and they sent someone to “investigate” .. I went down to the front desk, they swapped our rooms (for a downgrade) and that’s when the trouble started. To my surprise this was taken very lightly and my fear and dismay was completely dismissed. I was offered a free upgrade to a river view room - that’s it. :( I’m very disappointed and feel uncomfortable and unheard.

About the safety, i think need some access control at the elevators, everybody can take the elevator and go up without permission or the door card. I think for the price we paid for the hotel, at least we can get water as complementary

Wonderful stay. Great location. My complaint with any hotel these days is that there isn’t enough good lighting. The rooftop was amazing with amazing views. The air conditioning in the room blasted onto my head making sleeping difficult (I had to wrap my head and neck with a towel). Moving the bed would would help. We were very excited to stay in this historic hotel in the heart of Chicago. It was beautiful, great roof top view, central location, nice staff. Only negative is that the toilet didn’t flush well and was completely clogged by our 3rd day. I didn’t expect to pay this much for a luxury hotel and have issues with the facilities like this.

Everything was excellent, the only thing I had to pay 60 per night to upgrade to a suite with the river view. (Which I thought it was already included as it said on the Expedia app)
