Pleasant stay, but noise and minor issues

We stayed at the Westin for two nights as part of a family vacation. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but a few issues stood out. First, the bathroom ceiling fan wasn’t working, which was a bit inconvenient. Second, on one night, the parking lot was completely full due to a wedding event. However, the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to park in the employee lot, which we appreciated. The most concerning issue was the noise from the lobby, which we could hear even from a higher floor, suggesting the soundproofing could be improved. Lastly, for a 4-star hotel, we would have appreciated complimentary hot beverages.

The room had bugs! We didn’t realize it till we woke up the following morning. I told the front desk upon checking out. I had some sort of eye infection or irritation because of it. My eye was red and irritated. They took pictures of my eye and apologized for the inconvenience. I also filled out an incident report of some sort. We’ve stayed there many times before. My brother had his wedding reception there. I couldn’t believe it.

Step into the bathroom, and you’ll be greeted by the charming sight of urine stains on the toilet seat and curly hairs thoughtfully left behind by an unknown number of previous guests. The bathtub? Not a single bar of soap—perhaps cleaning is just a myth here. I had the absolute pleasure of spending an hour scrubbing the bathroom myself, and honestly, considering my hourly rate, they should be paying me to stay here. In the corner, a fruit cup collection left behind by God-knows-how-many former occupants, truly a historic touch. The front desk phone? A beautiful decorative piece—it never actually works. The one silver lining? The mattress is somewhat comfortable, though the pillows carry a bonus feature: the distinctive scent of body oil from someone who clearly doesn’t believe in showering. If I could, I’d give them negative stars.

Living Hell.

A literal nightmare. I was harassed by Trumpers at the bar and then management decided I was the problem. I had to call the police for help because the hotel manager wouldn’t tell me whether or not she had a weapon as she tried to force her way through my door. Incredible and inhumane. When I have the time and resources, I will sue this place.
