The recently-renovated rooms are clean and functional. The staff are friendly and helpful. It would be nice if the hallways were air-conditioned and there was ice and ice buckets in the rooms and building. Many of the common doors are in need of maintenance as door closers slam you in the behind when attempting to drag luggage through the door. I will stay there again as it is good value. The showers was advertised as “walk-in”, but it was a regular tub/shower with grab rails and spray-hose shower.

The staff was nice but the room was not cleaned properly. There was strands of hair in the tub and on the blow dryer. There were stains along the walls and lamp shades. The comforter had stains and had to be removed from the bed. Stove and microwave had stains. I will not stay here again

Horrible experience. Room was extremely dirty, stains on couch, the hide-a-bed had food in it, and kitchen area was dirty. Keep trying to contact management to discuss our room and no call back and will not answer phone for us. We did not stay, we left after 15 minutes of being in the room.

Our reservation was for two queen beds. When we got there they said they had no 2 queen rooms left. They said we would have a room with one king bed, but it was actually one queen. Still got charged the same price. The hallways were very dirty. Our room was okay, but the carpet needed vacuuming. It was a room with a kitchen, but there was not a drinking glass anywhere. Not in the bathrooms, not in the kitchen. The breakfast was good, though.

We booked 6 months in advance and weren't able to get the room we reserved. Every entrance door glass we saw had dirty, smudgy finger marks. The doors themselves and area around the doors need a cleaning and in some cases new paint. Our room also had several issues.

The staff was neither great nor an issue, average care. The room: bed was clean and made well, the couch was stained, carpet was rubbed bare to the padding in a large area, shower curtain bent so curtain slid to the middle, carpet sticky, stained walls. Dingy, but worth saving $100 compared to more expensive stay down the road.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had paid a decent price compared to most hotels. However, we had some complaints about the place. The elevator and stairways has a ghastly odor as if there was smoking going on. Also the keycard didnt work for the stairway entrance. Management stated that they transitioned into a new system and that keypad was affected by it. Many of the rooms have their window screens torn in some way and ours was heavily torn up. Our room's walls had leftover stains, the fridge and freezer were not keeping food cold. I tried making ice cubes in the freezer overnight on the coldest setting, and it was still liquid in the morning. My son got stung by a wasp at the pool, not sure how often management keep up with pest control as I had to report a gathering of wasps in the fence of the pool. The staff was friendly and we got the tooms for a reasonable price compared to most hotels these days. But it seems that we get what we paid for as a result.

Very old. Not updated. Stains on Carpet and couch. Stayed in a 2 BR effeciency with Pull out couch in livingroom and was provided 2 set of towels. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 children. We ask for more towles but was told they were in the wash. They never brought us anymore in our 2 day stay. Passed a gentlemen who was cleaning rooms and had towels on his roller cart and ask for some and he said no.

This property was absolutely disgusting! We were in our room for 5 minutes when we had someone WALK into our room with their room key. Followed then by there being hardly anything in the kitchen to be able to cook on (we spent extra wanting a room with a kitchen to save money.) That evening, after putting our kids to bed (and yes we checked the beds and got new sheets and such for me to put on) we watched a cockroach!!! A COCKROACH walk across the kitchen counter! The shower had not been wiped down, there was hair on the shower wall and hair on the bathroom ceilings! Our friends who joined us had a similar experience as they moved their room couch to get their daughter’s toy out from under it and found a bunch of trash! And lastly the entire bottom floor and elevator smelled and reeked of marijuana.

The outside of the hotel looks great! But once you enter the building where our room was it gave a very musty old smell. When we entered our room the same musty smell was inside and it was ran down. When I opened the fridge to put my pop in there there was a live ROACH in it! I IMMEDIATELY called the front desk and the clerk was hesitant on switching room but he did. The new room was a little more updated but the floor was off level and the tv stand does not turn towards the bed. Even though our room was moved it you see one roach then there’s more. From the start, I should have known better given the primary image of this location is a shot of penguins at the zoo. I don't know what I was thinking. The room upon entry smelled like mildew. There were worn out areas of carpet and multiple other areas of disrepair, including gas cracked in one of the pictures. There was dirt streaked on the walls and doors. The tub was grungy. I have stayed in MUCH better places for less in major cities. My hotel the next night after staying in this place was outside Toronto and $40 US less. I don't know why they were charging rates like they were a high-class joint in a big city when they are in the suburbs (not even the city) of Cincy. Beyond the room, the place did not feel safe or clean. The cardpad on the building felt one second from falling off. Then there was the pervasive smell of weed. We did not eat the breakfast because we doubted the cleanliness of everything. (When the places you see are bad what can that mean for the places you don' see, right?) Now, the staff took my complaints in stride (probably because they were used to it) and "upgraded" my room in compensation (slightly cleaner and less smelly but subpar to say the best) but that does not make up for this place. It easily should be priced $100 less. If you have another option, take it.
