Beautiful property located right on the playa hermosa beach. There were iguanas everywhere, very cool! The water was amazing. The staff was so kind. The rooms were clean. Food was delicious, though a bit spendy. Would definitely come back.

Our room was perfectly situated on the beach which we loved you can hear the ocean from your room. It was perfectly located so anything you wanted to do was within a 20 or 30 minute drive

Neither Expedia nor this hotel treated me fairly. After being stranded in country because the runway at Liberia was inadequate for my exiting plane to land, Expedia and this hotel refused to refund the rate for the room 5 hours after I booked, when I learned that the only way to get home was to drive 5 hours the day of rental to catch a different flight. Thanks for nothing Expedia and Bosque del Mar.

We would definitely come back here again . We had ocean view which was amazing and peaceful . Staff was amazing . Booked tours for us and gave great recommendations. Everyone always happy ;) I feel it was one of the best locations to stay at . We journeyed north and south for things to do so it felt perfectly located

We never stayed at the property as we were forced to cancel, as our incoming flight was cancelled due to runway problems at the Liberia Airport. Considering the circumstances, and the fact we cancelled as soon as the airport problems were known, we had expected the hotel to give us at least a partial refund. After all, their policy calls for the possibility of some discretion. Unfortunately, the hotel has stonewalled giving any refund for our booked seven day stay. We consider their position to be unreasonable.

My friend and I checked in around 5:30 pm, and from the start, the experience was terrible. We entered a room with what looked like blood stains, hair on the floor, and dirty bed sheets that made us worry about bed bugs. It was nighttime, we felt unsafe, and it seemed like we were the only guests. When I politely addressed these concerns with the front desk, they “cleaned” the room, but the mess remained. No alternative or apology was offered—just a wait. After spotting what looked like potential bed bugs, I immediately contacted Expedia to cancel, but the hotel refused to release the payment until the next day. The front desk assured me I could choose to leave the following morning and receive a refund. Trusting them, we spent the night (since it was already dark) and eventually settled in a cleaner room. The next morning, we left at 7 am, and the front desk confirmed my card for the refund. However, days later, I called Expedia and they informed me the hotel refused the refund, and no one from the hotel had reached out, nor from Expedia. When I called the hotel directly, they were unhelpful and simply directed me to email their info account. In the end, I had to involve my credit card company to dispute the charge. Horrible experience, absolutely would not recommend this place. We ended up at The Mangroove hotel nearby for the same price and had a fantastic stay.

The room was very clean. The location was excellent. Our only gripe is that ground floor bedroom as soon as it got dark we had to close all the curtains because anybody walking by could look in. The living area had a big glass window next to the front door with no shade. Expensive restaurant. Could not ask for a better location

Stayed just one night before flying out of Liberia. Feels like a treehouse in the rainforest but directly beachfront on lovely Playa Hermosa, Guanacaste. Our beachfront room was clean, spacious and comfortable with refrigerator, coffee maker, indoor shower and private outdoor bath. Family of howler monkeys in the trees over the pool area were cool to see. Did not eat at the restaurant except for take out American style breakfast. Many restaurants a quick walk down the beach. Definitely would stay here again, especially for the beach and a quick ride to the airport.

Our room and view were beautiful. Property is nestled between residential homes. Beach is very nice, but not too clean. Lovely sunsets and food/drinks were fabulous. Every meal is served in an open air restaurant. Front desk was very helpful with everything. Hotel staff was always available to offer whatever you needed. Tip: Use Uber because hotel transportation is overpriced.

The property was beautiful. It's right on the beach with the rain forest all around you. Every morning, we enjoyed walks along the beach and picked up brunch or lunch from restaurants along the beach. Very peaceful and family friendly.
