A great hotel on the Uni campus
A very good standard of hotel, which we chose for its location for the University, however were pleasantly surprised by the level too. The restaurant for dinner was particularly good, with attentive service, great quality food and a good range of drinks available. The buffet breakfast was also good, with a decent range of quality options. We had a great night's sleep in comfy beds, with air-con and a reasonably well equipped bathroom.

Have been staying here for the past 2 years studying my Masters. Not sure if it was just because they were busy over the two weekends my stay spanned this year, or whether they have just lost their mojo. We always stay in Hugh Stewart House because it's much quieter, you have your own drawing room, kitchen and dining room (bit like an AirBnB!). Last year there was always fresh yogurts, fruit, bread, etc in the kitchen for you to use if you fancied a continental breakfast at the house rather than walk down to the hotel. This year it had to be requested. There was also issues in the room too - 4 lights were out in the bathroom, brambles growing under the windows in the conference room and the outside waste pipes from the toilets were leaking. It just seemed as if things were being a bit neglected and only resolved or done on a reactive basis rather than a proactive basis. Bit annoying considering they've got a captive market on campus and they charge a lot for their rooms. Might consider another hotel elsewhere for graduation next year
