Culburra Beach is almost surrounded by water, there are 2 beaches. The main beach (Warrain Beach) is a patrolled beach with the surf club. The second beach (Culburra Beach) is a non-patrolled beach and is off leash for dogs at certain times. Lake Wollumbola is a closed lake to the south of the main town. The Crookhaven River runs along the north side of Culburra Beach town.
There is a local surf school where you can learn to surf. The Bowling club has great meals and free music on a Saturday night. We have coffee shops, take away and dine in restarunts and a few gift stores. We have a woolworths so no need to bring anything you can purchase what you need when you arrive. Spring brings Burradise where there are bands and markets over a weekend in September.
There are so many things to do in the extended area, including the ever-popular 100 Beach Challenge, and don't forget the Famous Hyams Beach with its famous white sands. Whale watching is available from nearby Huskisson. For the revheads there is an MX track at Nowra, along with the speedway in summer. For something different to do, Sassafras is a small town west of Nowra where you can pick your own Chestnuts in April.
