Very nice hotel - Very average location
This is the second time we have stayed at Kasteel Coevorden. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are excellent. Overall, the hotel is hard to fault. Coevorden itself is a fairly typical Dutch provincial town and does not have much to offer other than a few bars/restaurants in the centre.

Excellent friendly hotel with superb dinner
The main hotel is in an ancient building that uses the old features well - with a nice bar, restaurants and function rooms. The bedrooms are across the road, by the picturesque canal and are very spacious, modern with lots of wooden beams - there is a bath and shower in the room. My room 11 was right by the water with views up and down the canal. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly, especially the bar/waitresses. We had the Euro29 - 3 course menu and just let the chefs send what they were cooking - it was superb with Carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise to start, lamb cutlet and roasted vegetables and a wonderful multiple piece dessert with fresh raspberry, meringue, mousse etc etc. Nice buffet breakfast too.

Quiet stay
Spent a night while passing through. It is a nicely remodeled warehouse type of building in a quiet neighborhood. The room was fairly large and the king bed appreciated.

Delightful place - not really in the castle but accross the way - overlooking the water. Nice. Staff is alittle slow and alittle "slow". But tried hard.

Quaint and charming hotel.
This is a quaint and charming old hotel, formerly a school house, perfectly located for the majority of Dublin's attractions and business areas. This is a very old building, and so it should be expected that it will be more draughty and there will be more noise from outside the room, than perhaps there would be in more modern hotels. There is a good bar and restaurant within the hotel and the prices are reasonable. The staff are welcoming and helpful. There is wifi and a small ironing board inside the room.

Unieke Kasteel in de regio
Mooi oud kasteel, jammer dat de receptie niet goed bemand is en rommelig (we moesten lang wachten en uiteindelijk een bediende uit het restaurant halen om in te checken. Deze persoon kon echter niet incasseren, daar moest weer een ander persoon voor komen. Ook jammer dat er in het gebouw met kamers geen bar ofzo is, het is een super ruimte om iets gezelligs van te maken, maar door dar er niemand aanwezig is, is het kaal en ongezellig.

Hellaas slaap je niet in het kasteel maar in een bijgebouw. Mooie kamer, alleen geen aparte badkamer alles is in een kamer! Maar zou er zeker terug gaan!

Leuk hotel met historische inslag.
Rustige ligging. Kamer in oude pakhuis gekregen. Mooie ruime kamer met verrassende elementen en eigenzinnige materiaal keuzes. Zeker een aanrader. Maak ook een wandeling in de omgeving.

Jammer dat er niet duidelijk gecommuniceerd wordt dat de overigens goede moderne kamers niet in het kasteel zijn maar in een verder gelegen annexe. Ontbijt was OK , maar niet meer dan dat. Desondanks wel een aanrader.

Overnachten is niet in het kasteel, maar pakhuis 250 mtr van het kasteel. Maar zeer mooi, met name de douche, gigantisch

Een zeer warme kamer gehad op de derde verdieping. Probleem is dat er maar een heel klein raampje op een kier kan: nauwelijks frisse lucht. Nauwelijks geslapen door broeierige warmte in de kamer terwijl de buitentemperatuur 13 graden was. Afzuigsysteem disfunctioneert, waardoor geuren de kamer in gaan... Kamer verdient een nieuwe lik verf, schimmel in de douchecabine dient bestreden te worden.

3 nuits dans l'hotel avec une chambre avec du cachet le long du canal. Très sympas mais par jour de grosse chaleur pas top. Ceci dit l'hotel est très bien place en centre ville et l'endroit est calme. Idéal pour une petite nuit lors de visite du coin.

Geweldige ligging en knusse sfeer.
Het kasteel oogt prachtig en is aangenaam om in te vertoeven. De haard en de oude stijl geven een leuk cachet. Wij verbleven in de Deluxe-room en we waren zeer aangenaam verrast door de ruimte, de indeling en het gebruiksgemak. De prijs is zeer goed in verhouding tot de sfeer, de accommodatie en de kwaliteit. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk zonder fake te lijken, gedienstig en behulpzaam. Kasteel Coevorden is een aanrader en zeker een herhaling waard.

Mooi designhotel in het hart van Coevorden.
Mooie stijlvolle kamers in een oud graanpakhuis. De kamers zijn helemaal in de stijl van het pakhuis en de oude elementen zijn nog goed gezien en goed gebruikt. Wij hadden een deluxe kamer. Deze kamer heeft geen bad, maar wel 2 douches naast elkaar. Voor ons ideaal. Een groot minpunt is dat de kamers niet uitgerust zijn met airco. Het was erg warm tijdens de nacht. Het ontbijt wordt in het kasteel geserveerd, hiervoor moet je ongeveer 500m buitenom lopen. Het kasteel is sfeervol en het ontbijt is goed. Het is een beperkt assortiment en kleinschalig opgezet, maar toch is er een goede diversiteit en de producten die er liggen zijn van goede kwaliteit. Mochten de kamers voorzien worden van airco, dan is het absoluut een aanrader en zou ik er zeker nog vele malen vaker verblijven aangezien mijn familie in Drenthe woont en ik ver bij hen vandaan. Tot die tijd wordt het toch nog even verder kijken.

mooi hotel, op het eerst ziet het er allemaal mooi uit. unieke hotelkamer waar de douche zich in de kamer zelf bevind. Voor een koppel leuk romantisch. afwerking vond ik wat tegenvallen had beter gekund zeker als je zo een mooie kamer maakt in een voormalig pakhuis.

de uitvoering v an de kamer was op zich goed maar op sommige (storende ) details was de afwerking niet correct. de houder van de douche zat compleet los in de muur en er hing en lap stof of dekbedhoes over de rand van de balken boven het bed; past niet in deze kwaliteit

Mooi kasteel/hotel met luxe inrichting.
De ervaring om in een kasteel te verblijven was erg aangenaam. De kamers zelf waren in een bijgebouw, maar daarom niet minder lux. De kamers waren modern ingericht. Ze hadden een fijn bad. Het is vlakbij het station, waardoor je met het openbaar vervoer makkelijk een dagje uit kan. Ook was het eten in het restaurant erg goed.

Fijn weekend in Coevorden doorgebracht
Een fijn weekend doorgebracht in hotel Kasteel Coevorden. Mooie kamer in een verrassend verbouwd pakhuis aan het water, op twee minuten lopen van het kasteel zelf. We vonden wel dat de kamer nogal gehorig is met kamer ernaast. En jammer dat er geen mogelijkheid is zelf koffie-thee te zetten. Gelet op de afstand tot het hoofdgebouw zou dit een mooie service zijn.
