The hotel is dated and in need of updating, cleaning and some tlc. In addition i paid extra for a room with a balcony however the door to the balcony was extremely hard to open and close, so I was unable to use it. I asked the person at checkout to refund the difference in rates between a room with a balcony and one without but was told that since I reserved the room through expedia they could not adjust the amount I paid.

Beware of undisclosed security deposit!
I wasnt told nor was it mentioned during booking thru Hotels.com, until check in this hotel requires a $100 deposit which the bank holds for 3-5 days. And its a weekend and a holiday on Monday. So it may be a week before these funds are avaialble. This sbould be a disclaimer prominantly displayed on the hotel's site!
