I was a bit disappointed with the hotel on first appearances, but it grew on me. I was upgraded to a room with a Japanese bathtub, which could easily have fit seven people. The room decor is a bit outdated and rundown, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The selling point for me was the breakfast, which was far superior to the breakfast that we received at our previous hotel (eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, fruit, cereal...). However, there were signs in the elevator offering perks for giving the hotel a five star rating on various websites, which annoyed me. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

"Location is close to night market and railway station, which makes it a good transit for Alishan/ other places from Chiayi. The room is comfy; breakfast is buffet served on top floor, nice panoramic view and good selection of food. Definitely recommend to other travellers."
