Disappointing hotel.
Found the hotel dark and dingy. Staff were pleasant. No restaurant or tea/coffee making facilities in room made going out to try and find somewhere open to have breakfast a nuisance. Bed and pillows comfortable and clean. No proper wardrobe just a rail and curtain above the fridge made hanging difficult. Bathroom so small the door almost touched the toilet seat, difficult to get around.

quick trip to the city
This is an affordable option right across from Lincoln Center in a terrific upper west side neighborhood. Fun, eclectic decor and a great rooftop lounge (perfect way to end the night). There’s even a plunge pool and small sun deck and a decent gym. The a/c unit was very loud and didn’t get the room super cool, our room safe didn’t work and we could only watch the tv if we didn’t change its angle. The staff was friendly and kind - we even got a room upgrade when I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. We would definitely stay here again!

The drain to our shower wasn’t working and they sent up an engineer. Even after he left, the drain was still not working and they were unable/unwilling to move us to a different room. The room itself was dated and it was interior facing, which provided no light or view. There was rust on multiple surfaces, including the entire air conditioning unit, which was also extraordinarily loud. There were cracks and chipped paint everywhere. I know I’m in nyc and I don’t mind the small room, but the rest was really unacceptable, especially for a room that was north of $400.
