Hotel is in a great location, right in the town centre. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful cobbled streets with many lovely little eclectic, independent shops in which you could spend many happy hours pottering! When we arrived we were greeted by Wayne who instantly made us feel very welcome. He couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and during dinner, which we had in the hotel restaurant, he couldn't do enough for us. Lots of great banter too! The food was delicious and incredibly good value. Our room, no 28, was very spacious, loads of room for bags etc, overlooking the road to the front, but there was absolutely no noise from outside. The bar and restaurant area are really nice with a lovely, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is only a ten minute drive to Longleat and the Aqua Sana Spa. There is secure parking behind the hotel. Really can't fault anything about our stay. Can't recommend highly enough.

For the price of the property, it was excellent including the use of facilities such as pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The staff made extra mile to give children activities for easter, , treats and tokens too. We also liked that it is a dog friendly, walking distance to Somerset Buffet if you fancy eating out.

Great stay at the hotel whilst visiting Wookey Hole, all staff very friendly. Ignore some reviews about the restaurant we thought both the breakfast and dinner were great, actually one of the hottest cooked breakfast I have had at a hotel, dinner was also good portions and not … if you have young children if you come out of the hotel and go up the steps to the right where lodges are loads of rabbits running about along the hedge row and field. If you get cheese in nearby cheddar the hotel will also happily store overnight for you in the fridge till you depart
