The feature of the hotel is without doubt its location, with stunnng views. Only anoying thing is that if in a first floor room you have to go downstairs and up again to access bistro and bar if the conference rooms in use.

Great view but overall disappointing.
A hotel with an amazing view on the evening i arrived, for a business meeting locally, however the hotel needs updating reminded me of an 80's hotel my parents used to take us to! Such a shame a hotel with this kind of view hasn't had the investment it deserves. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the service in the restaurant was very hit and miss... a taxi is required for any other food options.

The hotel needs a serious update in the halls and passageways. There was a slight damp smell. Foyer and restaurant good. Non of the bedrooms have phones (have been removed). If you don’t have a mobile (as per my 89 year old brother) he felt alone. I spoke to the Mngr about this as there are no phones in the hall for an emergency. He said it wasn’t a legal requirement! Really . What if someone was taken ill and needed help? Some rooms have a great panoramic view of Chesil Beach. My room at the back had a 50 foot aerial outside, but charged at the same price as the room with a view. Very disappointed overall.

This was a great place to stay to look around Portland. Easy bus access, beautiful walks. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was brilliant. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The hotel was a little tired in terms of decor in the bedroom, but it was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was silent and dark all night, so offered an excellent 2 nights sleep. Will stay again.

No real issues with the Hotel, it's a little dated in places, but comfortable and the breakfast was good. The view from the Bistro / Bar is amazing. Our room (220) suffered a little from road noise but was otherwise fine. The curtains definitely need to go back to the eighties though!

Absolutely fantastic. The views are amazing we saw a lovely sunset. The welcome by reception was excellent. Our room was huge and very clean. The double bed was a king size. We both had showers it was lovely and the included shower gel/shampoo lathered well. There is a lift for the less able to take you up to breakfast where the views from every table were awesome. The service in the restaurant (buffet) was impeccable. Mr was pleased that he could have porridge the best ever!! I ordered eggs Benedict - it was sooo tasty. I only wish we had tried the evening meal (we will next time). The waiter fetched me a pot of tea and the hotel waiter will bring your food to the table if you struggle. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
