We had a wonderful experience staying at the AKA Boston Common. A few little problems to start, like our mini fridge didn’t work. They brought us a new one. The ice machine didn't work on our floor. They brought us ice upon request. They were under construction. The staff at the AKA were curtious and helpful. We stayed 7 nights. This hotel is in a good location. Close to public transportation but it is in a very accessible by foot area. Carlton, the assistant manager, and the front staff made our stay exceptional! They were helpful in their recommendations for fun things to do, restaurants to try and close places to walk. The most memorable was when my son left his backpack at the airport! Carlton was so kind, he encouraged us to go back to the airport and look for it! I was skeptical, but we went back to the airport, 3 hours after we left, and we found the backpack! Boston suprised me! I'm sure the hotel staff has forgotten this Midwestern family by now, but we won't forget them or our stay at the AKA Boston Common.

The lobby is tiny as they are renovating. No mention until after booking was completed. Didn't impact my stay much but advance word would have been nice. Some furnishings also felt a touch shabby although the room was spacious and comfy.

Definitely a great place!
Great location. Everything was walkable distance. We will definitely stay here again. Had our 11 and 13 year old with us. Walked to little Italy, along the freedom trail etc. room was really nice. Only complaint was parking fee was crazy so we used a few of the close by “LAZ” parking locations. Download that app if your driving and keeping your car, was able to get overnight parking for $15-29 per night compared to the hotels $65 per night and when staying 5 days that saved us! Staff was all really nice.

I still don’t understand why the tub/shower was so difficult to enter and exit and the hole in the glass wall to turn on the water, just made a huge mess on the bathroom floor. Plenty of towels, nice body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Time to upgrade this property as AKA back bay, that we stayed in last year was a nicer property

Great location and very attentive housekeeping staff! However, the hotel was under renovation, and that was not stated when I booked. The hotel also claimed to have parking, but we had to use a public garage because they could only accommodate small vehicles. A resort fee was charged, yet common spaces were part of the renovation. The room pictured was also very different from the room we were given.

When this hotel was called Nine Zero I loved it. However they are charging way over price for a hotel in construction. The employee who brought in a day bed was incredibly rude advising me to “do it yourself,” when he didn’t know how to roll the bed in. I accomplish it seconds. The front desk staff are nice, but they are making lemon out of lemonade and I will not stay here again. $65 overnight parking. Extra fees for everything. You do not get what you pay for. Checked out the very next day. Terrible.

The staff are TOP NOTCH...personable and professional. The hotel really ought to have smart TVs or some movie channels. As much as I spent, I didn't expect to get stuck with only VERY basic basic cable as my only option. I ended up watching Netflix on my laptop.

The staff was amazing and the hotel is undergoing a full renovation. We stayed in a renovated room which was great. Clean, very functional, and spacious. The only downside is that the hotel was under active renovation while we were there.

The good thing, the location near Downtown, a few minutes from the blue, green, red and orange lines. Modern and clean hotel. Very friendly staff. The negative is the parking, when I booked it said it was included and when I arrived they told me it was $65 per night. The worst of all is that they use a public parking lot where they only charge $40. In other words they charge you too much. Breakfast is not included and the hotel is under repair. Which means that at 10am you will hear hammer noises and other somewhat annoying things if what you are looking for is to sleep and rest.
