Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Temple) is one of the most famous temples in Southern Thailand. Located eight kilometres northeast of Krabi town, a whopping 1237 steps will take you to the top of a mountain to visit a tiger's footprint. Don't forget to soak in the phenomenal 360 degree views across the mountains and out to the sea. Krabi is one of Thailand's oldest continued settlements, stone tools and pictures from the area indicate homo sapiens have inhabited the caves in the limestone cliffs since 25,000-35,000 B.C.
