Our stay at the hotel was brief just one night . The rooms were beautifully decorated, our bed faced looking out to the water . Breathtaking sunset . Everything in Mallaig is close , walking distance so didn’t need to drive to get to restaurants . Hotel sits on the hill overlooking the water . Staff friendly easy check in and check out .

Rooms were quaint, clean and plenty of space. Nice views of the ocean and a very welcoming and polite staff. The towel warmer and bathroom was nice as well, loved the larger tub and shower options. Would definitely stay here again, loved it!!

Adequate stopping point before a ferry
The hotel felt very empty, run by a receptionist seemingly on her own. We’d been warned that the restaurant was closed that night but were able to get good food at the inn next door. The room was billed as being “cosy” and it certainly was that, but also up a lot of stairs. Main faults were a poor mattress and a lacklustre shower with low flow and variable water temperature. Breakfast at £16 per person is presumably priced to discourage participation. We got something better value on the ferry.
