Hot water supply is very essential for one of the hotel service. We are so disappointed to have the shortage of hot water in the morning on 28th/Sept as 4 of our family members can only take the freezing cold shower before check out.

The stay was ruined by the fact we couldn’t shower or wash on the Sunday morning, we were going straight to visit family from the hotel, my daughter was a quarter of her way through her shower and could barely rinse the shampoo from her hair as the water was running out let alone actually wash and there was just air coming out of pipes by the time I tried.

2 staff members were helpful with our issues. However one thing after another our stay was stressful. all sockets blew, window latch broken, no answer from room service number we had to go to reception . Having complained I waited 4 days for a manager to call then argue with me without listening to my frustrations . I did get a partial gesture and some complimentary breakfast.

Booked this hotel for spa facilities, it was a girls trip for one night. No one was available to book massage, only one person was doing massage's. Only one room which was dirty. Poor communication with massage lady. She refused to do one hour massage as she was the only one doing the massages. So disappointing. Fire alarm was activated at 1:45am for 5 mins Rang reception and they had no idea why it was activated.

Our stay did the job we needed a place as we travelled to use the shopping centre, check in was quick, easy and the cookie was a lovely touch! Room was really clean too. We didn’t really find out any information on the restaurant/bar so decided to go down the road to eat but that’s fine just seemed a shame as we could see the bar area was large we just weren’t given much information. We went to the pool and unfortunately were swimming lessons on which we didn’t find out until we were changing so would maybe suggest making it a little clearer. I put the aircon on about 4am as the room was a bit warm and then at 5/5.30 ish we were awoken by an alarm that we worried was a fire alarm I checked outside and nothing went off again but we were very shaken as it woke us abruptly with a loud beep. I did put the aircon again in the morning once we were up and the same thing happened. It was a shame as it did kind of ruin the sleep. There also were glasses/plates outside the rooms opposite and down the corridor the whole time from when we checked in and checked out which was a bit disgusting. When checking out I was asked how was your stay when I explained about the alarm waking us and said it was a shame it was ignored and I was told have a good day and thank you and I just thought it was a bit rude there wasn’t even an apology (working in a customer facing role something like an apology goes a long way) I was never rude when explaining just saying in case there happened to be a fault.

Pleasant Stay but Pool Disappointment I recently stayed at the Doubletrees Dattford Hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The room was really nice and comfortable, though the water pressure in the shower could have been better. I appreciated the effort made by the staff to celebrate my birthday with balloons, a cake, and a card in the room, which was a lovely touch. The food was okay, nothing exceptional, and the same goes for breakfast. It was decent but lacked options like fried eggs, which I missed. The biggest letdown was the pool. It was cloudy and didn't seem clean. Unfortunately, we weren't informed that we needed to book a time slot to use the pool, though we did manage to get a session an hour later. However, we ended up leaving after 35 minutes because the water looked too cloudy, and it seemed like the pool hadn't been properly maintained. It was quite off-putting to see gym staff testing the water while we were in the pool. On the plus side, the hotel’s location was great for shopping at Bluewater, and the staff were wonderful throughout our stay. However, the condition of the pool left us feeling disappointed, which impacted our overall experience. **Rating:** 3/5

This stay left us a bit disappointed. From checking in to breakfast the next day, it felt a bit short. Checking in I was welcomed by a lady who was waiting for the computer system to work/kick in. Then she received a phone call and started dealing with it and left me hanging. I eventually was seen by her colleague who had finsihed with another customer. The room was neat and clean but we only had 3 towels ( for a family of 4). So on way to restaurant we stopped at reception and requested more towels. the diner was decent enough, the pudding wasn't great ( sticky toffee pudding), it was dry and you could tell this is not made from fresh. Back to the room and no towels delivered. We however noticed 2 towels on the floor in front of the room next to us. Rang reception who confirmed these had been left on the floor for us in our absence. For hygienic reason we demanded new towels which then were delivered. Who thinks it's acceptable to leave towels on a corridor floor? . A good night of sleep was had by all. Bathroom and showers are really good. Proceeded to breakfast in the morning and felt the offering was a bit basic: sausages of low quality, unappealing scrambled eggs, no fresh bread like baguette or crusty bread, orange and apple juices definitely of low grade ( as opposed to tropicana type quality), no nutella ( kids!). Kids didn't like the muffins ( very dry) .Positive was decent bacon and nice hash browns. Overall it just felt short of expectations for the Hilton brand.
