LEAVE THE CAR in the driveway...

Centrally located in Falmouth, it is just a half mile walk to the beach, restaurants, and 200 yards to ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.(Island Queen Ferry is operational seasonally. For 2024 the ferry schedule runs (5/24 -10/14) There is a full year ferry that's run from Woods Hole (Steamship authority) which is 5 miles from the house. There is also a direct Edgartown Ferry from the Harbor ( just a longer walk from house: falmouthedgartownferry. com ) You an also take the Bike path to Woods Hole to make for a great day trip.

ABOUT THE HOUSE

Recently painted interior ( Feb 2024) and extrior( Spring 2023) and updated along with hardwood floors welcome you to this charming Falmouth, Cape Cod home. New stove, dishwasher and microwave don ein 2023!

In the cozy living room you’ll find a Sunbrella sofa ( easy care with no stress if someone spills) a couple of comfy chairs, and 48" cable tv. Tv is a smart TV has comes with Apps for Netflix/Hulu ( you need your own subscription)

The dining room table seats 6—a comfortable size should you wish to throw an inside dinner an additional 2 seat table in open kitchen allows for overflow...

Just off the dining room sits the kitchen, which has fully stocked with plenty of cooking pans, plates and utensils. Cooking is by gas propane and frig has ice making capabilities so no forgetting above filling the ice cube trays..The breakfast table for 2 is a perfect spot to plan your day’s adventures while sipping coffee—there’s a traditional coffee machine. .

The back door leads to a stone, furnished patio surrounded with perennials and trees. Yard also gets great morning and afternoon sunshine for chilling with a drink while also very private. Rental also includes use of propane gas grill for summer barbecues. There’s also an outdoor shower for washing away the sand after a day on the beach. Garage includes everything you need for the beach ( cooler, chairs, floats, buckets). Also included are 2 newer adults bikes and 2 older but smaller bikes for kids..bring your own helmets.

There are plenty of beds for all of your friends and family. On the 1st floor, you’ll find two bedrooms both with a queen bed. There’s also an updated full bathroom with a walk in shower.

THE LOCATION

This Falmouth home is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. You’re just a half mile to Falmouth Heights Beach and less than a 1/4 mile to Falmouth Harbor. Hop on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for an easy day trip or head to Woods Hole which is just 5 miles away. You are just off the 6th mile marker of the infamous Falmouth Road Race!

When you need to pick up groceries, you’re less than a 1/4 mile . ( Shaw's and Stop N Shop). Also the Windfall Market ( Falmouth's Whole Food equivalent) is a short walk from the house by the harbor.

Don’t feel like cooking? No problem—there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Head over to the Shipwrecked ( former British Beer Company) for a pub atmosphere and English fare. Or, for an upscale seafood treat with ocean views, try the Sopranos or house favorite Flying Bridge (both are a half mile away and right on the beach/harbor). Or venture down town ( again 1/2 mile away) to a host of different eating options! My favorite place is C Salt on 28 again not far from house but reservations recommended or Estia downtown.

Ice Cream your thing??? Dairy Queen is a stone throw away or head downtown to Falmouth's own Ben & Bills!!! Smitty's Ice Cream is a short 15 min ride.

Coffee your thing... the new Black Dog Cafe on Falmouth Height Road makes for a great morning walk but with the traditional other options like Starbucks and Dunkin and Pickle Jar to name a few are all within a half mile of house.

For rainy-day amusement, restaurants, shops, a movie theater, are not far!..also a couple of bowling alleys ( Trade Center Bowl & Ryans)

Property fee of $25 covers you for up to $1500 in damages.

Great stay in Falmouth
This was the nicest house that we have ever rented on the Cape and Islands. It felt like home. Quality furnishings and well stocked kitchen and we didn't even have to bring extra toilet paper. will hopefully stay here again. Was so close to beaches and the main street for shopping etc. Love this property!!!!!!

Incredible weekend
This house is absolutely incredible! Everything about it was perfect. It was cozy, had everything we needed and the location was a dream. The host was just as incredible as the house! Very welcoming and super helpful. Would highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a trip to the cape and interested in spending time at the beach and taking the ferry to the vineyard, the house is walking distance to both! The only downside was we didn’t stay long enough this trip but have already booked a full week next year and are counting down the days.

Great Place to Stay
We came to Falmouth for my sister's wedding and Des's place was perfect for me and my family. There was plenty of space and linens for everyone. The kids enjoyed the games provided. I wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities like bikes, beach gear, and outdoors space! My only suggestion would be to upgraded to keypad entry--although that would take away some of the charm of the older doors. We hope to visit again!

Spring getaway
We can’t say enough about this property! It’s the best we’ve stayed in. The host has provided anything and everything a guest could need. Check in was simple and the house was easy to find. Falmouth is the perfect place to call home while exploring the Cape. The necessities r close by and the host recommended great places to eat nearby. We cooked in, relaxed at night and burnt the fireplace. Spring weather kept us from using the fire pit and grill, but it’s there if u need it!! It’s a super cute, super clean house that sleeps 8 people. I would recommend it to anyone!!

Cozy Home-Perfect for a weekend away
A group of us stayed here for a friends' weekend. The house is very well appointed with everything we needed. It was a cold winter weekend, and we had a cozy fire in the fireplace, cooked, played board games and enjoyed our time together. Each room is very comfortable and inviting. The host made everything so easy and promptly answered a few questions we had before our visit. We would love to stay here again in the future!

Where do we even begin. My two friends and I rented this space while on a girls trip to Cape Cod. It’s a great location and a lovely home. We felt so comfortable, safe, and happy here. It’s hard not to feel relaxed in this beautiful home. The owners were gracious and so helpful with anything we had questions on or needed. I’ve already recommended this location to friends and family. If you’re considering it, it’s an amazing place to visit!
