Australians don’t need to get a visa before travelling to Fiji. You can stay in this island paradise for up to four months as a tourist without getting a visa beforehand. However, a visitor visa will be issued to you when you get there. Visa rules can change, so always check with government authorities before you travel.

You can typically check in to any flight 24 hours before the time of departure if you do so online. If you have checked baggage, or you want to check in at the Fiji Airways desk instead of online, the general rule is to get to the airport three hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.

Fiji Airways doesn’t currently offer in-flight Wi-Fi. Fiji Airways does offer in-flight entertainment on all aircraft. The A330 fleet has on-demand movies and TV on personal seatback screens, while shorter flights also offer entertainment streamed to your personal device. B737 aircraft offer entertainment on overhead screens, and on personal screens in business class. In short, you’ll never be bored on Fiji Airways.

Fiji Airways can get you to the islands from destinations around the world. Fly from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide in Australia, and Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch in New Zealand. They make it easy to island-hop, too, with flights from Port Vila (Vanuatu), Nuku’Alofa (Tonga), Honolulu, and other Pacific Islands destinations. You can even go as far as Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The highest class on Fiji Airways is business class; they also offer economy class. There is no first class on Fiji Airways, but you’ll find plenty of amenities in business class. Cut the line with express lanes, get some rest in exclusive lounges, and nosh on three-course meals washed down with fine wine. That’s living your best life.
