We had a fabulous week in this beautifully appointed house. The downstairs areas consists of a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely roomy living area. I enjoyed reading on the enormous leather couch and sitting at the ginormous round wooden table to spread out my tourist maps. Upstairs the bedroom has two large, windows one of which offers panoramic views over the surrounding countryside (I spent a lot of time gazing out that window). The queen-size bed is large and comfortable and the bureau of drawers has plenty of space. The bed had good bedside reading lamps (a big plus). On one side of the bedroom is a small, very interesting 15th century window. The bathroom, which is also upstairs (as is the separate toilet) was spacious, and had a very good shower. All in all the house was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. The garden was very private and had fantastic views over the surrounding, lush, rolling countryside.
The location of the house is in a cul-de-sac, there is no through traffic, so it was very tranquil and quiet.
We found plenty to look at and to see in the village itself (church, ancient streets, gardens, museums), and as well as there are abbeys, chateaus, and wineries close by.
Our host was very welcoming and supportive. Thank you for a wonderful stay Jean-Luc! We recommend this home to anyone considering a visit to the area, and especially to couples.
