We stayed in a family room. It was motel style as in you have a private entrance. This was great as we brought our dog. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer even a small fridge and a good sized TV. Everything we needed. The bar was lovely and reasonable, however I was unaware it closed when a function is on and I found this a little disappointing. The function is loud but did finish at exactly 12. Fully recommend and will stay again as itā€™s great for us visiting family.

Upon arrival there was noone manning the reception so had to wait around 10 minutes for someone to turn up. When the man eventually arrived to check us in, he was rude and didnt even say hello, we were asked to sign the terms and conditions without being given a copy of them. We were told there would be loud music playing until midnight which we wasnt aware of at the time of booking the hotel. When we finally got into the room it smelt unpleasant, the bed sheets had stains, there was no toilet seat on the toilet and the room had numerous spiders and cobwebs. Thermostat did not work, TV wire had electrical tape in multiple places like it had been repaired.

Staff were friendly and helpful Rooms need some updating due to damaged furniture and stained curtains Mould in the shower Bedroom door did not lock as screws were falling out to be fair dealt with quickly but should not have been offered as a room if not safe Breakfast was lovely and a fair price Beds comfortable

I didnā€™t like my night here as there was a venue on, nobody made us aware of it, we went down to ask what time it finished at 11pm and we got asked what we want. The lady who came out was extremely rude. The property walls were bouncing as a result of the music and we was right on top of the venue area, In a family room

Had an enjoyable time Hotel staff were wonderful and the food was delicious. Our room was comfortable but dated and our view was the skylights. Still recommend and would stay again in the future.

Good value for money
This hotel was value for money when visiting family. Checked in just after 2, took a while for anyone to come to reception but it was quick once they came. Spent the day with family and upon return we went to get a drink in the bar, it was only 7.50pm and the staff told us the bar was already cleaned down and cashed up, the info sheet in the room said it shut at 10pm! Apparently the staff told us they do this on quiet nights so they can help with functions but from what we saw they went and sat behind reception, this was a little disappointing! Bed was comfy, room was basic but fine for the money and clean. There was an event on but I checked with hotel before hand and they said our room was at the back and we hardly heard the music. There was ample parking and itā€™s in a lovely area, with a bit of love this could be a stunning hotel.

Poor- Dirty underwear on floor.
When we arrived i could clearly see that our room had not been cleaned. We found dirty underwear on the floor, false eye lashes stuck to the radiator. False nails on the sofa and hair all over the floor. As we are arrived late, there was no one at the reception i was able to complain too. However i did inform the gentlemen at reception the following morning. Who said he would speak to the cleaners. Shocking. It was disgusting. Will not be returning thats for sure. However there were some positive. Staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly. And the breakfast was lovely. It was just a shame our room had clearly not been cleaned.

Though the room I was given required some TLC; mainly cosmetic, needed a new hair drier and the mattress needed replacing. (Did inform staff and staff were helpful). The location, service, cleanliness and facilities were great. I would like to return some day.
