My wonderful mother and step father took me to the castle for my birthday. The castle, views, interior, landscape were all absolutely breathtaking and it made for a very special day and night. The staff were super friendly and the room was spacious, comfortable and had a wonderful view. I’d love to come back in the future.

Absolutely amazing. We were blown away with everything at Stonefield: from the great service, to very historic and well kept facilities, and the fantastic property. I cannot say enough about the most wonderful staff at this hotel. They were so friendly and accomodating. The meals were superb, and the view from the dining room unmatched. It is to be expected that it is an older building and some things are a little different, make sure if you have mobility issues to ask questions before you go. I did see wheelchair ramps. We truly enjoyed it and wish we had stayed another night or 2 to walk the grounds.

First stop on our Scottish road trip
We stayed for 2 nights in deluxe doubles overlooking the loch. Large bedroom, separate sitting area and large bathroom, with great views out of all the windows. All of the staff were super friendly and made our stay even better. Great hot breakfast cooked to order along with the usual buffet items. Dinner was also very good, albeit with quite a small menu. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows overlooking Loch Fyne - what a great place to eat! Definitely recommend staying here in an unspoilt part of western Scotland.
