Eh. Understaffed and the staff they do have may be undertrained. Not many amenities offered in a hotel with rooms up to $1000+. Beautiful old hotel that is probably too costly to staff appropriately. Too bad. I was hoping it would be more.

Excellent valet for super easy in and out!! THANK YOU! We also were thrilled to be able to get a really nice late night dinner right at our hotel. Only complaint— no vent in the bathroom for airflow and room took a LONG time to get cool… will definitely visit again though- close to most everything downtown too!

I have stayed in way nicer hotels. This one has a new tower and an old part. We got the old 11th floor. Rock hard beds, few amenities... Fridge not clean, safe ok. Tiny bathrooms. Way overpriced for what you are getting. This deserves three stars at most. The lobby is the nicest part of the building.

We were in town for a concert at the Van Andel arena! It was so easy just following the signs along the skywalk to access the arena! Our room was beautiful with a view of the river. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was so soft and we had a wonderful nights rest! We had breakfast and dinner on the premises at the Wolfgang Puck restaurants and both meals were excellent. We had drinks after the concert in the bar and everyone was so kind and accommodating. Even the attendants at the valet parking were so friendly! This hotel was a bit of a splurge for us but so worth it!

Amway is a large property in downtown Grand Rapids, very well situated for restaurants and coffee shops. The river is just a short walk away. The rooms were good, but very small bathrooms, given it’s an old, renovated property. The staff were very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful place. Staff super friendly throughout the building. Valet, front desk, MDRD- all of it fantastic. We were able to walk almost to the VanAndel arena through the connected above ground ‘tunnels’ called the SKYWAY! I didn’t even know that existed and have been to GR many times. 10/10 will stay again.
