We had a wonderful overnight stay at The Grant Arms. The Staff are amazing and we received a warm welcome with our dog. The room was very comfortable and clean. We ate in the bar and the menu was exceptional The food was delicious and the bar staff very helpful and made. A big fuss of Mack our dog. We will be returning.

Decent enough and fairly priced, nice location
Hotel was nice and in a great location. Room was basic but fair for the price. The walls are very thin though and we heard EVERYTHING! From the drunken revellers streaming down the high st at midnight, to the loud 1am lovemaking of the couple in the next room returning from a night out, to the early morning coachload of guests getting collected outside at about 6am, it was like they were in the room with us! The bed was ok, not the best but not the worst. Bathroom was nice enough but was the rainfall type only, rather than a choice, which is a bit of a compromise in a small space. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

The hotel was comfortable. Facilities are old. Bedding and towels were clean and of good quality. It was quiet. Breakfast basic. Staff were kind and worked hard. Overall, it was acceptable considering the remote location.

Perfect Grantown stay!
Beautiful old building, simple elegant and comfortable. Restaurant staff are especially kind and helpful. Tea time in the lobby is lovely. Bathroom is massive with an old tub for a proper soak after long walks in the area. Beautiful!

A grand old lady
Booked this for an overnight stay and a touch of luxury. Reception staff are very welcoming. We loved our large, very comfortable room. i marked it down on the basis that the shower was not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel - very small shower head with very little power. We didn't eat in the hotel due to prior arrangements, but the restaurant looks very elegant. The lift (elevator) is a glimpse into the past.

Proof that you don't always get what you pay for, very disappointing for the room rate. The whole hotel is a 1970s throw-back. Cramped and cluttered rooms, uncomfortable double beds, single pane windows, over bath shower with shower curtain, daisy-chained extension leads, plastic over carpet in hallways, and lack-lustre food.

80th birthday treat
To celebrate her 80th birthday my friend and I travelled to Grantown on Spey for an overnight stay at the Grant Arms Hotel. Having booked 2 single rooms we were expecting quite small sized rooms. Nothing was further from this assumption. Our rooms were very generous, immaculate and with every requirement for a comfortable night. The staff were very pleasant and we both enjoyed the whole experience. Roll on my 80th!! We'll be back.
