Excellent if you want to be at the beach, it’s the last place up on Wrightsville Beach. The Resort needs work on maintaining the rooms. But staff was excellent ! All and all good .

Wonderful room with a beutiful view. Friendly staff .My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Only downside would be low water pressure in taps and shower. I was on the 8th floor.

We love the Shell Island Resort! It's been our go-to destination for my birthday weekend the past few years. The oceanfront balconies all have beautiful views! The beach is walkable and wonderful. This year, I was thrilled that the hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly for my birthday! The staff is so friendly and thoughtful. Already looking forward to next year!

Our favorite Wrightsville Beach Resort!
We love staying at the Shell Island Resort during our visits to UNCW. It’s the best feeling in the morning, walking into the living room area and looking out through those big beautiful windows and getting the best view of the ocean. Then moving to the balcony sipping your morning coffee and watching the waves roll in. The facility has everything you’ll need during your stay - the amenities are great! The staff is always helpful and caring. We love it here!

The property is dated and in need of an update. We stayed in room 909 curtains are not hooked and hanging haphazardly. Baseboards are dirty which made me think the floors were dirty as well. On a positive note the bed was comfortable. Overall would not stay again.
