A wonderful tranquil place to stay. The location, house, room and gardens were so lovely. Our hostess was very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely with plenty to eat. Definitely would stay again.
One minor niggle was that only tea, coffee and milk were provided in the room on the first night. Normally these would be replenished each day, so we had to go without drinks on our 2nd night.
Beautiful B&B in a very nice environment (lake, small river, etc.).
Room was spacious, clean and neat. Breakfast was very good.
A car is needed since location is relatively remote.
Really enjoyed our stay and recommend.
On our first trip to France, we were really glad we found this guest house. The owner was on site and answered our many questions. She provided us with a wonderful breakfast to start off our day. We will be back.
The house is beautifully surrounded by the garden. A little creek passing through in front of the house. Inside the room is well decorated in style and it's spotless clean. The host recommended a restaurant which was excellent too. We only stayed in one night. Wish we can stay more. The host was very nice.
A lovely property in beautiful grounds and surroun
A beautiful properly in lovely grounds. The host was so friendly and provided local info because the one shortcoming was the lack of village restaurants meaning we had to drive to find an evening meal. Breakfast was superb.
Friendly and warm welcome to a beautiful setting. Restaurants within 7K and very easy to find. Gorgeous room which was very clean and beautifully decorated. Good breakfast. Good access to motorways if needed.
This charming thatched roof cottage was a highlight of our month in France. Marie welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Her grounds are on a small stream next to a bigger river where we picnicked. The room was large and nicely decorated with antiques. The breakfast provided was the perfect way to start the next day. We would love to come back and stay longer!
Only 3 rooms but what a place, so book now. If you like to sit by the river in picturesque B&B this is the place for you. You will need to provide your own wine as the hotel has no restaurant but what a jewel.
Warm welcome to lovely thatched roof house in lovely countryside/small village.Very nice room with views over garden/river & very comfortable bed.Recommended good restaurant beside lake only 1.5 mile away.Basic breakfast. Very pleasant stop over en route home via Calais.
This is a lovely hotel with a gorgeous location and garden. The host speaks English and is very pleasant and helpful. Just the kind of place you hope to find on vacation.
This place is so beautiful and pictures don't do justice. A stream running thru the property in front, flowers blooming, birds chirping. The room is decorated with good taste. High end material were used everywhere. Tableware is also first class. The host is very friendly and helpful. Wish we could stay one more night.
Marie’s charming guesthouse is located in the most picturesque setting right next to a stream with lots of spots to sit and listen to the water while admiring her beautiful garden. At night when we opened our window all that we could hear was that lovely, tranquil sound of water. The house itself is a lovely example of traditional Normandy houses and oh so comfortable. The room was so large with lots of light and yet warm and inviting. The bed was comfortable with some night reading lights on either side. The bathroom was similarly large. Everything looked spotlessly clean. There’s even a hair dryer. Breakfast was very pleasant with delicious breads, croissants and more traditional continental buffet. Marie was so helpful and gave us the most delicious dinner recommendation. She also has a nice selection of brochures for local sites which made getting to Giverney much easier. All in all we were sad to only stay one night and would definitely come back.
