Lovely building and very spacious and clean room with comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast though that wasn't included in the overnight rate I selected. Convenient location - 15 walk to Reading West train station or half hour walk to centre of Reading.perfext for what we wanted. Taxi back from Reading central train station was under ten pounds but also plenty of buses available.

Lovely hotel, perfect for our short stay. Room facilities as expected and cleanliness excellent. Attractive period building and very nice decor throughout. Very helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely return the next time we need to stay in Reading.

I very much enjoyed my one night stay. I was made to feel very much at home. Also, the owner greatly extended himself to benefit me. I arrived after many hours of cycling and he eagerly assured me in storing my bicycle. He also provided me very helpful information on cycling in the region. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everyone was helpful and attentive. The breakfast was large and cooked to order. The location was very close to a bus stop.

The Hotel was such a lovely old building .Very clean and beautiful comfortable spacious rooms .Breakfast room so cosy and the breakfast was excellent. The hosts were really so friendly and helpful.I would highly recommend and look forward to going back one day

Very good value despite minor quibbles
Quiet and convenient location with ample parking on site. Good breakfast. Spacious and well-furnished room. BUT One or two mildly irritating shortcomings:- Difficult shower control (very stiff to turn to open) Awkward bedside light switch, particularly from bed when dark at night. Bed against wall so mattress slopes to one side. Towel rail three metres from basin.

I would class this as an okay B&B. No restaurant but Beefeater directly opposite so that wasnt a problem. Nice public areas and good staff. Room not very plush. Breakfast was £15 and nicely cooked but there was no choice/menu and no pastries etc. Good parking.
