Our Happy Place, As Good As Beach Front, Dog Friendly, 10% Off Military/Teacher

3 bedroom 2.5 bath 1300 square foot home with hardwood floors, stainless appliances, screen porch, deck, patio and additional bathroom downstairs near the hot/cold outdoor shower. 2 queen beds, 1 double bed, 4 bunk beds and 2 full size fold out couches.
Sleeps 10 people in 7 beds but 14 people if you utilize both fold out couches.
Parking accommodates 6 vehicles easily and you could also park your boat on the side.
Beach access is 100 feet away with a new Hatteras ramp that you can roll your cooler or cart over, no more stairs.
For the kids we have a large game/storage room downstairs with foos-ball, ping pong, pool table, toys and an air hockey table. More fun things added all the time for rainy days. We have bikes to borrow. This room can be used for your extra beach gear or suitcases.

There is a full size fridge in the game/storage room with an ice maker for guest use.

We have chairs, boogie boards and sand toys for you to borrow.
For everyone to enjoy the beach breeze and view there is two patio areas, a large deck, a screened porch and a concrete area under the house.
For the dogs there is ample yard space all around and the backyard is fenced in.
For the fisherman there is a fish cleaning sink out back.
Park for the kids one block away.

Note: Smart doorbell, electronic locks and security camera. Nest Hello doorbell camera installed on front door, Nest security camera installed outside game room/storage area downstairs outside. The front door and storage area both have electronic deadbolts for your convenience. Customized code will be sent for your stay and no more worrying about lost keys. We got together with our daughter and SIL Staff Sgt Hutton USAF to have a family outing before he transfers out to Las Vegas, NV. We got to spend quality time with our granddaughter Embry Rae! This place was spot on from the listing and Mr. Clint kept us informed from our booking to arrival! The weather was a little on the chilly side but a chilly day at the beach is better than any day at work! Definitely recommend Our Happy Place, we loved it!

Lovely Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Surf City. The home was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the storm out on the ocean our first night and the full moon rise the second night. The kitchen is well stocked and where we made some delicious meals. We hope to return soon.

A perfect place to stay
Everything was as advertised. The screened in porch overlooking the ocean was a favorite place for morning coffee and meals with the family. Perfect beach getaway
We booked months in advance. We had no idea our stay would be interrupted by a tropical storm. The host and hostess stayed in contact throughout our visit to make sure we were comfortable and educated on local resources. The home was well stocked for rain day events and everything beach!!! Definitely a happy place!
The house was exactly as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking and bedrooms had plenty of pillows and extra blankets. The beach toys and chairs were amazing! Sooooo many to choose from and they were good quality. Fenced yard was perfect for the dogs!

Truly is ‘Our Happy Place’
Where to begin? The beds are comfortable, even the bunk beds. MANY nice sitting areas (2 porches, 3 areas outside, living room, dining area, playroom/basement). TV system is modern and easy to use. Outside shower has been updated. Kitchen has almost very tool we needed. New refrigerator. Beach gear/toys galore. Five bikes. Air conditioner is sublime! PERFECT LOCATION! This was our third visit, and we hope it isn’t our last. We absolutely love Our Happy Place.

Wonderful Stay
We had a great time at Clint's place. The house was comfortable, including the beds. It was more spacious than the pictures show which was nice. The screened in porch was a great place to hang out and look at the ocean. The beach access was super easy and the location was very quiet. Clint was also very responsive and all the little touches were nice, such as the beach equipment. We would stay again for sure.

Perfect location with a nice home away from home. The downstairs large shed with the beach necessities was super convenient for our group. The outdoor shower and chairs were icing on the cake. Everything you need for a convenient vacation at the beach.

Great time, great location.
This was the perfect, cozy place for a long weekend getaway. We love being able to travel with our German shepherd, so we very much appreciate being able to bring her. Location was perfect, just steps away from the beach access. Checking in was a breeze and many essentials were provided. We loved sitting out on the screened in porch listening to the waves crashing. We did end up buying beach chairs instead of using the ones provided. They were usable, just very worn down. The couches in the living room also had visible stains, this didn’t bother us too much as we didn’t spend a ton of time there, but we did lay a towel over it. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to vacation
The house is in a great location being so close to the beach and several restaurants in Surf City and met our needs very nicely for a weekend family getaway! The game room downstairs was perfect for both the kids and adults as it unfortunately rained a lot on the weekend we were there. The house was very comfy stay and we enjoyed our more than expected time inside more due to the comfortable furnishings. Would definitely stay again!

It's gonna be hard to top this Christmas!
Me, a friend and my 2 dogs stayed at OUR HAPPY PLACE. And it was definitely our happy place. The house is very well kept, the beds are SUPER comfortable, there is everything you need there. My dogs have never been on vacation and they loved every minute of it. The fenced in yard was perfect size to let them run around on their own for a little while. We were super close to take them for their first ever walk(s) on the beach. I would love to make this a new christmas tradition but it is already booked for next year! :( The view is great and the porch makes it easy to see everything!!! Clint was great and very easy to communicate with via email leading up to the trip and when I had a small issue with check in.

Peace At The Beach!
Hi all! We arrived at night, so l didn't see the beach, but l heard it, and smelled it. When the dawn broke, oh my! 😲 What a beautiful sight that greeted me. The beach is awesomely close, and l enjoyed coffee, sitting in the screened porch morning after morning! Even though the weather was 80 degrees and cold and rainy the rest of the time there, my family and l had a terrific time eating and cooking in the spacious dining area. In fact, the home is roomy, inside and out. The place was clean and inviting. I was disappointed in the care and operating state of the bikes when my bother and l tried to ride them...but, very, very nice neighbor across the street and everyone said hello to us. Grocery shopping, eating areas, and good walking nearby. Easy, easy check-in too. The owner was a pleasure to work with. Teachers, you get a discount! 😊 This home is simple, nice, spacious and clean in a quiet, slow neighborhood-that is in the cool and cold months, which have become my new favorite 😀. (thank you for sharing your home with this beach lover!)

Great Family Spot
The location was perfect. The view is spectacular from all windows in the dining, living, and especially the screened porch area. There is almost no traffic (maybe due to time of year) on the road in front so the kids could safely ride their bikes as well as ride them to the park. They loved the park and its close proximity allowed for many visits. The beach is easy to access and the sound of the ocean was fantastic. Awesome refrigerator space with the upstairs and downstairs fridges. The room with double bunks and a double bed was great for my daughter’s family as the little ones were in close proximity given they were in a strange place. The fenced yard was awesome for the dog and he loved the freedom to go out when he wanted and lay on the deck outside as well. He could also look out the front porch and see all the dogs walking by. The covered area below was highly useful when it rained. Plenty of dishes for the whole family. Many options for pots and pan usage. Lots of seating in the living room and screened porch. When the weather is warmer there were many options for a family to spread out or be together. The was a bar within walking distance for the adults. Charter fishing is available relatively close.
