If you are a person who requires new construction, our property might not be right for you. But if you enjoy a home with character and non-cookie cutter appeal, you'll love it here! While the kitchen and bathrooms are new, our original hardwood floors have areas of patina and patching, and quite frankly, we love it. Our walls are plaster, not sheetrock, and may sport a minor imperfection or two. I specialize in restoring solid old homes with good bones, and bringing them into the 21st century with sensible and beautiful design. Again, if new construction is your thing, don't despair...Houston offers plenty of that. But if you are looking for comfort, convenience, cleanliness and charm... we are your place!
Large backyard with patio and privacy fencing all around adds to the comfort and convenience. Motion sensor floodlights keep the property well-lit at night. Walking-friendly neighborhood allows you to park your car and take the bus or metro rail, or go jogging at nearby parks and running trails.
Entire home and all amenities within the home are available for use during your stay.

This is a quaint and family friendly neighborhood, close and convenient to everything, yet calm and quiet with a family feel. For this reason, WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES AND THE HOME SIZE IS NOTSUITABLE FOR LARGE GATHERINGS. This home and location are ideal for families, business travelers, and leisure travelers who want to take advantage of the many great amenities in the city. There is nearby public transportation, and endless nearby amenities, which are listed onsite in the house manual. You will take comfort in knowing that most of our neighbors have lived on the block for several decades and have never had an issue with crime.
The home is less than 1 mile from public transportation (metro rail, city bus), and is a short drive from most of the city's attractions.
Our guests love the convenience of the area and have had no issues with safety. Families of all kinds have found the home and neighborhood to be safe and very friendly. We do remind that this is an urban setting however, so it is not uncommon to see passersby; please remain mindful of this and take any precautions you would in any major inner city.
Houston is home to some of the best restaurants and entertainment, warmest weather and eclectic scenery. One thing we are also home to is plenty bugs and wildlife. We pay for regular pest control to keep unwanted guests out, but we do ask for your help keeping windows and doors closed, or only open for short periods of time. Because its a part of the nature of the area, we cannot be responsible for any pests entering the home, however this has not usually been a problem as long as guests control points of access through windows and doors.
