We got there late around 8pm and there was a lot of people / homeless hanging out by the front area. We checked in and our room was filthy. The bathroom sink light was not working. The chairs was dirty and the floor was dirty as well. Overall stay was not good obviously but more on we felt unsafe. Never again to this place

Staff were great, friendly and professional. Physical building is in disrepair, old mattress with worn spots where people sit or lay on it, room smelled of cigarette smoke, bathroom light didn’t work, no drain plug in the tub, sink drained slow and didn’t have hot water. The fire alarm went off early am apparently it’s not abnormal and may have been caused by the dryers being used. Firefighters confirmed it to be a frequent location to visit.

I had to sleep in my car. Why? Because I stepped out to get water from the store and when I tried to get back in my room, the card key did not work, so I went to the front desk and there was no one there! It was 11:30pm and there was nobody there to help. Called them, called customer service and I had no help at all. I had to stay in my car until past 5AM so they could fix the card key. Refund? I don’t think they’d agree

It wasn't a good experience. It said breakfast included & they just had coffee and cereal bars. The Internet didn't work, the fire alarm set off twice as I was trying to sleep. There were roaches in the bathroom, the tv's screen was blue. Liz at the frontdesk was not very helpful and wasn't nice at all. Terrible experience here.

We liked the convenience to the hospital. The property, although very clean, needs some attention to the individual rooms. 1)The stove in our room could not be turned off and my husband who is an electrician, had to turn the breaker to the stove off making it rather difficult. 2) the drain in the bathroom area was missing and had to be stuffed with a wash cloth so as not to lose anything down the drain and maybe stopping it up, not to mention the guest losing their item. 3) the back door entry could not be used without getting someone to walk to the door and open it for the guest to come in; in other words, the card reader did not work. 4) when calling to make the reservation I asked specifically for TWO DOUBLE BEDROOMS.. with separate baths, NOT TWO DOUBLE BEDS with one bath. I was told i would have that. Arrived at the Hotel and was told "we don't have separate bedrooms"... taking under consideration the person i spoke with had aVERY THICK accent, I'll overlook that this time but i suggest you make it clearer..... we were there for 5 days and made it okay but doubt seriously, if i can find another hotel with a suite, I'm going back. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

We called saying we were arriving late. We were told it’s not a problem. We get there at 11pm and nobody is at the counter . There is another family that’s been there waiting and calling for 15 minutes trying to get ahold of someone. Nobody showed we couldn’t check in. Waited until 11:45pm and booked another hotel.

Great location but I won’t come back
I booked here due to me recieveing chemo for a hospital down the road. The location is indeed a great location, however I will be not be staying here again. We first arrived to a very confrontational fight/argument happening in the lobby between another guest and the workers. Then we could never get our key to work for our room so they ended up just putting us in another room. Room was nice and spacious, however the bathroom was a different story our shower did not work you and the drain did not plug to take a bath I had to use a sonic cup to rinse off and not to mention you turn around and there was a dead roach on the rim of the bathtub. Location is great, rooms are spacious but would check other places first.

If you have appointments at MDA, the location is good. And if you’re looking for an inexpensive option, the price is decent. One star given for each of those things. The entire hotel had a musty/dirty odor. And not just due to the Houston humidity. The carpet under our air conditioner was sopping wet. The windows were fogged up and leaky. There were no washcloths or hand towels. And no pillows were available for the pullout couch—I asked when I had to go down to the front desk to get bedding. The safety latch on the door was broken (just holes in the door where the fixture should be), the appliances were dented and rusty. Would not prep food there. The information we were given at check-in said housekeeping was available for a minimal fee. Otherwise the room would be cleaned bi-weekly. I’m not familiar with extended stays, so maybe that’s normal. But 2 weeks between standard cleaning seems like a long time. Didn’t see any breakfast set out when I walked through the lobby during their posted hours. Just an employee coughing all over the coffee station, so wouldn’t have eaten there anyway. If you have to stay for several days, I suppose you can plan to bring some of your own supplies, run to the store to purchase needed items and do your own deep cleaning. But for a one night stay, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Furnishings and general upkeep (walls, carpet, doors, elevator) were noticeably more dated and rundown than other ESA locations. Whole facility smelled like mildew. Loiterers in parking lot all evening hanging out at vehicles, people repeatedly propping open side door with a rock so anyone could come and go without an entry card. Breakfast is Nutrigrain bars, small packaged muffins and oatmeal packets with coffee urns. Fridge was not very cold and my meal went bad overnight. Plus sides were bed and shower seemed clean which is mostly what I needed. Staff was nice enough. Would stay again only in a pinch but otherwise will go elsewhere.
