The hotel itself was nice. The sliding bathroom door doesn’t close all the way so privacy is a bit limited. The area outside of the hotel was fine until night time. It’s right next door to a club, the music is loud, and there is a large amount of homeless people in the area asking for money at night. Overall don’t think we’d stay here again

The moxy is lacking is a lot of aspects, the mattresses were paper thin and extremely uncomfortable. The area smells terrible and is extremely noisy so we could not sleep all night.

The hotel itself was nice and clean and the staff was great but the room was really small. My only complaint about the hotel itself is the parking situation and loading and unloading of luggage. The parking garage is about a block away and you have to pay $20 each time you leave the garage -- no matter how long. To unload your luggage, you have to pull in front of the hotel, which is on a one way-one lane road and hold traffic up while you unload everything... very inconvenient. As soon as you step out of the front door of the hotel, there is a public transportation train platform about 20 feet from the front door that constantly had homeless people hanging out all over the area. It’s bad during the day and gets worse at night. We saw several homeless men approaching women aggressively. We were on the 10th floor as I can't imagine the noise level on lower floors. We stayed on a Fri and Sat night and both nights at about 10 pm, directly across the street from the hotel and behind the train platform, is a parking lot. A rental scooter company comes and sets up a tent and blares very loud music until about 3 am. I saw reviews where people complained about the music in the hotel but we didn't hear any of that as all we could hear was the music from the scooter place... 10 stories up! Sleep was awful. I'll end by staying we heard 5 gunshots the morning we left at 6:45 am from people fighting in front of the hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.

The rooms are small. But the location of the hotel was great if you want good food and transportation easily. There are a lot of homeless people though and they do not bother anyone but aesthetically it does not make me want to stay there again. I don’t love having to pay $55 for valet so I didn’t. I parked right across the street for $12. Enjoy your stay

First time at the moxy
First time staying at the Moxy and it was amazing! 10/10 would stay here again! You get 2 complimentary drinks upon arrival and have a live dj from 9pm-12am! Stayed there for an Astros game and came back to the hotel for a few drinks afterwards which was great!! The hotel bar stays open for guests all night long!!! The vibes were amazing and even did karaoke all night long! (If you do karaoke you get a free shot) this hotel is definitely aimed for a younger crowd, but is fun for all ages! If you are on the first couple of floor you might be a little too loud to sleep at night. The hotel does provide earplugs for you. We stayed on the 10th floor and didn’t hear a thing from downtown plus I slept like a baby because the room has blackout blinds which helped tremendously! I loved the moxy everyone was so kind and helpful!
