The rooms were neat, beds were comfortable. Pillows need upgrading. One was like a bag of rocks. Preventative maintenance needs some attention - one light bulb was out; the kitchen basin swivel tap was about to fall off; the shower door does not close properly so you get water all over the floor; awnings need repair/replacing; broken tiles need replacing. A sheet was soiled on the first night and never changed for the next two. The staff were friendly but often not to be seen. Location was good for conferences in the area and proximity to cafe's and malls. I had read and seen that the Hotel rates itself 5 star. I would rate it 2.5 star at best until it attends to the maintainence. First impressions are lasting. I would not pay more than R500.00 per night. To be offered breakfast at R150.00 is ludicrous. We went 500 m down the road and had a wonderful breakfast for under R50.00.

Dont stay here!
The welcome was lukewarm at best. The room was shabby and poorly maintained: The bathroom sink had no plug and was partially blocked so water took a long time to drain; holes in the walls, chips in the bathroom, several blinds broken, curtains not covering whole window. There were ants in the kitchen area but no spray to deal with them. Air freshener in the bathroom was empty. There were no bedside lamps. The pillows were so lumpy and uncomfortable, I used the decorative cushions instead. And the wifi password given didn't work.

FALSE ADVERTISING.
terrible ,, everything about the advertising was fake, and false.. the picture , sells the place,, whick is not up to standard at all. this should be a 1 class place,, no towels, no plates, no glasses, wet smell, no freshness to the room, aircon not working no toiletries supplied, there was no bar , closed down 2 years ago there was no pool table for entertainment. closed down was charged for breakfast, no kitchen , no ordering, no breakfast,, disappointment, plse change the place into a hostel for low income group and refund my money immediately

This was the worst accommodation I have been to Ever. The furniture was old. there was dust everywhere. There were flys in the bathroom Carpet in the Kichenette was filthy. Shower was not working properly Only one towel was provided.

Service was excellent. Facilities require some maintenance. Security is good and staff very friendly and helpful.
