We had a lovely stay at the Intercontinental, we got off the plane and went straight to the hotel and enjoyed the comfort of the much needed facilities. We had 2 days to unwind and acclimatise to the time zone on our way to Bali and this was the perfect place to do it

The place is in dire need of renovations. Faucet didn't work, toilets from the 80's, carpets from the 70s. A couple of pieces of furniture were stained or dirty. Their staff was very prompt and handled the issues but the property definitely does not have a 5 or even a 4 star rating. Again, staff outstanding, property is borderline avoid altogether.

Location was very good, it was a few minutes walk from the beach and many dining options around. Bad thing was there was a lot of traffic at peak times due to the club nearby.

Our room air con was not functioning, I did raise the issue with the staff and they said it's fine. Few days go past and they review again confirming yes it's not functioning. Was offered a new room which was much smaller and no compensation.
