The hotel looked nice from the outside and lobby. The staff were very friendly too and helped with our luggage being delivered to our next hotel. They had a station with water dispenser refill your water bottles and and there own vending machine too.The subway station is across the road, they have Convince store a minute away and plenty of restaurants near by too. We were in Japan for nealry 3 weeks and Kyoto was one of our favourites stops. However the only con we found was that the rooms did not appear properly sound proof as we could hear next door when they dropped items on the floor/closed doors or even coigh at times which wasnt the greatest espcially in the evening when trying to sleep. Same with being able to hear traffic quite loudly (with windows shut) in comparisons to other hotels also lcoated next to roads.

Keio Prelia Hotel in Kyoto was an excellent stay with convenient access to an accompanying restaurant. The room was fairly clean and was attended to daily with fresh towels. The laundry unit in the hotel was also very easy to use and accessible. Overall happy with our stay.

This was hands down the best hotel of our entire month in Japan. Absolutely without a doubt. Location wise, so convenient and central. Easily walkable to basically anywhere you need to go and central to all public transport. Our room was so well appointed, we felt like we had maybe been given the wrong room - especially compared to other hotels we stayed at with similar price points. Thoughtful and functional layout and I was so impressed with their commitment to reducing plastic by offering insulated tumblers in your room with filtered water stations on each level. We so look forward to coming back next time we’re in Kyoto!

Great value for your money!!
Hotel very well located, super clean and with good amenities. Excellent quality / price ratio! Have not used the restaurant for breakfast so I can’t give an opinion about it. Really cool that they had in each floor, cold water fountains to fill our water bottles! Only thing to improve maybe are the pillows….to have two or three options would be better (the one we had was like almost not having one). In any case, we would repeat for sure.

Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo is a stunning little property that ticked all our boxes on our recent trip. We had a very comfortable stay, with a convenient location enabling ease of access to public transport for day trips, but also walking distance for shorter adventures. Staff service was also of a high calibre. Happily recommend and would also return to Keio Prelia Hotel Kyoto Karasuma Gojo should we make it back to Japan in the future.
