Purchased accommodation on line in May , non- refundable. Staff couldnt find any record so had to pay on arrival. Located original bank receipt of AUD $397.51 payment after regaining internet. Staff eventually refunded payment AUD $332.56 after much discussion so down AUD $65 . Poor service. Tired hotel in a noisy location.

We stayed at Maisons du Monde - Marseille for the last 2 nights of our recent trip to Europe.
Access to the hotel was great, easily accessed from the Vieux Port Metro station, which importantly, had escalators.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, with rooms having various decorating themes.
Our room was spacious enough (we'd booked a superior room) and clean, the bed comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was modern, with a wonderful shower.
We had the buffet breakfast on our final morning (we had an early train back to Paris), and the breakfast cook couldn't have been more lovely, cooking eggs to order, warming up Croque Monsieur, nothing was too much trouble.
The guest lounge is a great space to have a drink in, or to work remotely from (if you were working), with the option of lounge seating, or tables and chairs.

"This property is very comfortable and has all the conveniences you would need . Well equipped . I have to say we did not find it walkable to the village of Gordes and we do a lot of walking. Its not far but it requires walking on the road close to traffic with lots of blind curves and fast drivers. ..."
