Mercy Island is a one acre islet with two separate self sufficient houses with beautiful wood blinds in all windows, a 10 x 20, 5 ft deep pool with filtered water; a 20-seat bar kiosk built under a huge mango tree for entertaining; three colored kiosks where 10 hammocks hang and two white pergolas shaded by green leaves. Fully lighted by electricity provided by the national utility company, the island nevertheless has standing-by an emergency generator in case of black outs. Water from the bottom of the lake, extracted with a submersible electric pump, and filtered, supplies the houses for cleaning and washing as well as for the swimming pool and irrigation of the premises. Purified drinking water is obtained in the city and brought to the island as needed.
